The location is good and the hotel is situated very central on Bryggen.

The location is perfect, next to the Bryggen and close to the funicular.

The flybus takes you direct from the airport, and the buses run every 15 minutes on weekdays); the last stop is this hotel (cost is only approx £7 each for a 45 minute trip).

I chose this hotel, because of its location, and the airport bus stops directly outside the hotel.

Having travelled in Norway and got used to light bright rooms this could not be further from what we got at this hotel a small little dark room with only a half size window 2 other bedrooms face you across a gap of about 10 foot, dark furniture.

In addition the beds/room were clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast is included in the business class wage rooms as well as the movies in your room.

The room doors open outwards, because the rooms are that small.

Broken tiles in the batroom, dirty walls and the size of the room is just the same as the ordinary rooms.

There are 2 restaurants in the hotel which looked very good (although we didn't eat our evening meal at the hotel).

On the downside, it is a long walk from the railway station, and frankly Bryggen is altogether touristy and filled with the same fast food restaurants as the US, though I did manage to get some decent meals there.

However, beverages, alcoholic and otherwise, are available in the restaurant, where the food is excellent but rather expensive.

Wonderful breakfast buffet and facilities superb.

The restaurant staff are very pleasant, the pool is nice and cool.

Excellent front desk service, clean and spacious junior suite for an average rate, sauna is a bit more hot than I'm use to.

Have spent a lot of time in Bergen, and this is the best hotel by far because of solid, friendly (and honest) service by staff, cleanliness, and the best and prettiest hotel location in all of Bergen.

We had a look at the pool which isn't very big and certainly not for serious swimmers.

Don't forget to go to the desk and get a towel if you plan to use the pool and the Solarium is 10 nok for 5 min or 5 nok for 2.

The service was fast and responsive, the rooms were clean and comfortable.
