  The surroundings were superb and restaurant provided good quality. The service was perfect, the room was large, very clean and comfortable, the food was superb,especially the beautiful banana and walnut bread. The gardens were particularly lovely.

  Superb views across Funchal, wonderful place and beautiful manor home. All staff were very kind, bedrooms were spotless and the bar / cafe by the pool was good too. Food and service were excellent.

  Quiet location and the capital Funchal is a charming town, full of character and things to see and do. The hotel is beautifully furnished and the buildings and grounds are beautiful and the restaurants superb. Staff are all helpful and rooms are excellent.

  Pool area was charming and great area to have a drink at the end of the day, the breakfasts were the best we've experienced in any hotel stay. The staff were wonderful and the food was excellent.

  View of Funchal at night is spectacular and the garden of the hotel is amazing. The staff are charming, gracious and helpful, the rooms are spacious, the pool bar is available for drinks and light meals.

  Rooms are excellent, and the sitting out areas are superbly furnished, spacious and comfortable, the hotel has a wonderful garden. Staff conform to high standards all round and the food is good.

  The pool area was quiet and there were always beds available, the choice and quality were superb, the staff just knew to top up glasses etcetera. The fruit juice at breakfast was good.

  The views from the pool terrace overlooking the bay are spectacular, the hotel is excellent and the staff are brilliant and willing to oblige your every need.

  From the pool terrace there is a panoramic view over the town and across the bay, fantastic Hotel best we have ever stayed in. The staff are always extremely welcoming and helpful and are extremely professional.

  Superb Quinta da Bela Vista, peaceful, excellent service and the balcony was best described as 'compact. The saturday evening madeiran buffet was very good, lunch was equally impressive and was taken alfresco by the pool.

  Lovely hotel, great staff and toiletries daily in the pleasant bathroom. Food and drinks available throughout the day, particularly fresh fruits, nice pool.
