Individual guest reviews

  • Family with children

Good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to find. Bed linen was crisp and spotless. Comfortable beds.

Room/decor very worn. Wasn't the cleanest In the kitchen/living area although the bathroom was clean. Windows old & didn't shut, so bad wind/road noise. Lifts a little scary. The photos definitely show it in good light and not how it is. I was disappointed as I had stayed in a much better hotel previously for $30 less a night.

    Good price and location.

Shabby tired room that felt unclean.

    Good location

Although advertised as offering access to gym and swimming pool, on arrival we were advised that the gym company had closed down the previous week. As we booked only 2 nights prior, we should have been aware of this! (have given low mark to q4 below). Therefore, both the Quest website and it's affiliated partners websites should be updated.

    Location was great.

They did not have the car park we originally booked. The room was in need of a refurbishing. We have not received "after hours key" and had great difficulties to get in after hours. Not a very friendly staff.

Easy to get to from the motorway. Handy to the City. Adjacent to a mini- foodmarket. Room was clean and well kitted out with appliances. Bed was basic but comfortable.

Very, very noisy at night from motorway traffic noise. Parking not easy to find at night and difficult to access. Parking was also staff smoking area; so littered with butts, rubbish and detritus of nesting birds. Room was very small, so very limited space. Would recommend to others with qualifications.

  • Family with children

Location, price and the fact we could make our own meals if chose to.

Apartment not being cleaned on 1 of the days of our stay, wet towels left in bathroom for 2 days, general level of cleaning staff work, the fact that on a public holiday, despite the sign clearly stating reception should be open, finding a note on the desk and no one to check us in or help at reception all day. Luggage storage in an permanently open staff/utility room with staff, their children and other people having easy access to it, walking around our luggage. Appalling quality of service overall.

When we went to sleep we could hear a party happening most of the night, it may have been in rooms above us but unsure. We were on the 13th Floor but it was very loud.

The front desk staff need some staff training on customer service, in particular the male staff who was our first introduction to the hotel. No small talk involved thetre appeared to be a bit of an inconvenience to him. At another time when my husband went to address some questions with him inside of hours he wasnt available he was "next door" we were told. The room did need some minor repairs done and we were not given any milk but 1 individual uht portion for our 5 day stay. There were 6 coffee sachets and they at no time were topped up either when the room was serviced which was every day but Sunday(?). When I left the woman who was on the counter was nice and friendly.

As above the front desk person on arrival and for the weekend Think the milk coffee etc could have been topped up when room serviced. If I had chosen to use the gym facilities they were up the road not in the same building which I had thought they would be.

    Excellent location and reasonable cost

Lacked double glazing which in the central city busy road was expected. Also the window was broken whch was not good for noise and not a good look when been living in earthquake conditions. Found that rather a distressing reminder when I was attempting to escape earthquakes.

    The location

We stayed there 3 years ago, and the 2 bedrooms apartment was huge, then we decided to stay there again, I can't describe our disappointment when we got into the apartment, they divided one apartment in two. The rooms were very, very small, no windows, the wardrobe doors coming off the trail; the tiny bathroom in a good need of renovation, ceiling paint peeling off, the washing machine inside the toilet, really, a mess. We'll never ever stay there again.

Close to city centre, plenty of room, good facilities

Spartin, the place is pretty soul less, a lot of road noise from motorway. A lack of lounge seating with only one two seat couch

  • Group of friends

The location, great being close to city and westpac stadium

  • Family with children
    7.4

The hotel is in the heart of the city and business district and it is easy to go shopping, and visit places to eat as well as find information on what to do. The family room is good for my family of four and the facilities were good. We were given what was on the displayed on the web page.

Cosy room, size was fine. Nice to have a full kitchen.

Room 7c- couldn't close the double windows properly so it was noisy from the moterway. And worst of all, the shower was cold and just a spray - not freezing but it never warmed up, so not a great start to the morning.

  • Family with children
    7.8

Close proximity to shops, restaurants etc, easy walk.
