The view was excellent and the service was good too. (Blond short hair lady is excellent)

The food - good but not the best. Coq au vin are good but one chicken leg, two mouths and done. More chicken. My husband said baby meals.

          Particularly impressed with the decor.

Evidence of cleaning materials, which lowered the tone.

        • Older travelers
          5.4

sorry the room we had was far too small for the £125 we paid ,and that did not inc breakfast, the staff at reception were not verry frendly at all how ever we did enjoy an evning meal there and the staff there wre much much better we left the hotel at 4 am the next morrning

        • Family with children
          7.4

The hotel, food and facilities were excellent. the treatments we received in the spa were very relaxing and comfortable.

Not being able to access the pool with my 12 year old granddaughter as the times were restricting, service in the bars and restaurant was slow we waited a long time for both lunch and dinner

        • Older travelers
          8.8

The comfort of the room, the very good food and the spa

The hotel was a little let down by the service in the bar and restaurant, whilst this did not detract from an enjoyable stay it compared poorly to the front of house service, thats not to say it was unacceptable, just not quite as good as I was led to expect by the excellent reception team.

        • Older travelers
          6.0

Good view from room, general ambience good

Lack of covered walkway to room. Polished marble floors in lobbies dangerous in wet weather. Restaurant very poor: served 'gone off' steak, no managerial response at all: 'manager' eventually talked to us, but then left rotten meat on table! £15 for green leaf salad excessive. Soufflee cold and raw in middle. 'Five welsh cheeses' were only two pieces each of three cheeses: no blue cheese but it was served at breakfast time next day! Junior waitress bothered us twice during dessert about bill, first time we asked to leave it til the end, then she came back and asked us if we'd like our bill while we were still eating. not very impressed by heavy disco beat audible presumably from room above.

My wife used the facilities at the Quay #spa and was extremely impressed both with the staff and the actual treatment

The restaurant. Without doubt time needs to be spent in addressing the layout of tables , the menu and the staff need to be retrained

        • Older travelers
          7.4

Spacious comfortable suite with excellent views across the estuary to Conwy Castle. Food good. Quiet situation for the bedroom wing adjoining the river. Separation of some bedtrooms from the Conference area.

Staffing appears disorganised and undertrained. Hotel had a kiss-me-quick wedding party which threw pressure on the Reception and Grill Bar area and staff. Cost for dinner and breakfast had not been registered in time for check-out. Access to one bedroom wing required a short walk in the open.

        • Couple
          4.2

Location is good for exploring the area.

The hotel is hugely overpriced, perhaps therefore increasing expectations. Rooms are very basic, with a poor shower in the bathroom that you'd expect from a 2 star property. As a frequent traveller and having stayed in many hotels across the world this is a great example of rip-off Britain! A reminder of why we do not travel as much as we'd like in the UK. The hotel is not worth more than 60-70 GBP per room per night.

The location was fantastic with superb views of the estuary and Conwy Castle. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpfull. The food was very good ,if not exceptional.Breakfast was excellent and good value if included in the room rate

Nothing worth mentioning.Ive read other review and cannot understand what there was to complain about

Great location, hotel nice and clean, staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Restaurant has a modern twist with a very nice view. Food was delisious however service a bit disjointed (maybe thus wedding at the hotel).

No hairdryer and empty minibar in a executive room.

        • Older travelers
          8.2

It was convenient to both Conwy and LLandudno. We were able to walk along a path to get to the beach area and town if we wanted to.

There did not seem to be any outside grass area to relax and sit in a group setting. Since we did not have a balcony, something casual like that would have been nice.

        • Older travelers
          9.6

The location of The Quay Hotel is absolutely idyllic, looking out across the marina from the Grill Bar was wonderful. It is also in a very central location and many other beauty spots in Wales are easily accessed from the hotel. The staff were polite and friendly and our room was very comfortable. We used the leisure facilities, they were also good, although I would imagine it would be crowded at peak times as the suite was not very big.

My only grumble about the hotel: on arrival we noticed that the hotel were having a tribute night (Robbie Williams look alike) and dinner, it was being advertised at £35 per head. We booked for this and arrived at the advised time of 7.30. There were no menus on the table, no one knew what they were being given to eat until it arrived, and there was absolutely no choice, everyone got soup, salmon and the same dessert. We did ask if there was an alternative but when the waiter went to check he apologised and said there was nothing else. Although the food was lovely and the entertainment good, it was a bit annoying - £70+ quite dear on top of you room cost etc.
