  I talked to the lady at the front desk and she gave us a small discount and moved us to another room on an upper floor, which was less convenient for my elderly father, but we were tired, so I went with it. After that room was also dirty and I processed through how unclean the first room must have been to trigger my allergies so bad, in the morning I requested a refund from the desk attendant. She had to get the manager,who was rude and dismissive of our complaints, while we were still speaking, she literally walked away to a back room leaving us at the front desk, bewildered with no other choice but to just check out with the desk attendant and continue on our trip. Keep in mind, this all took place while the manager was standing under a sign that said things like, Satisfaction guaranteed, let us make this right, etc. I even tried calling Choice Hotels, but they are not a parent company, instead just a customer service company hired by hotel managers. They couldn't do anything for me other than forward my complaint to the manager, who I had of course just had a bad experience with. Very poor customer service and dirty rooms.
