The peace and quiet, fresh air time to reflect. It is a place to stay in not to take day trips.

History, Heritage, Locality, friendly staff, Learnt a lot.

The restaurant ideally should be positioned elsewhere, and on higher ground, within the locality

The view over the harbour was amazing. We loved that the location of the retreat felt like we were out in the country amongst nature yet Manly beach, shops, cafes and restaraunts were only 5 mins away with Sydney CBD only a 30 min ferry ride away. We had the quiet and relaxed lifestyle of the retreat coupled with the option to be amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. The history of the Q-Station itself was also very interesting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Fantastic value for money!

The only compliant we had was that in order to get into Manly and back from Q-Station, we needed to get the free bus shuttle service. This service was not alwas on time and/or available as consistently as we had expected.

It is a very beautiful place but you need to be prepared for lots of things. These are not fully disclosed. We arrived on a wet night. We parked our car and checked in. We needed to have a bus drive us to our room. We had a function to attend. We walked back to the reception in the dark and they called a taxi. We waited in what we realised was a remote place. Nowhere to sit and relax. Taxi could be 5 - 20 mins. Taxi finally arrived after 30 mins. To be honest. It is really nice but lots of inconvenience. Staff really friendly and helpful but... Just not relaxing. Sorry wouldnt recommend it to people who are after a pampering relaxing time.

The bed was very comfortable. I appreciated how the historic site had been preserved.

We had a 2 night stay at q Station. We checked in on Fri night and on the Saturday we were without hot water and was not able to shower or bath on that day. We booked in for breakfast which was very poor. I would rate the ibis breakfast far ahead of QStation and that is saying something. We found the complicated Parking arrangments a pain. We had and event to go to on the Saturday night and specifically checked with Reception that their would be someone to open the gate on arrival (please note our return time was not late). We waited at the gate (which is in a very isolated area) with no one aswering the intercom for in excess of 20 Minutes. I was openly pissed off with the attendant when he eventually answered. Our impression overall is that it is run by first year Tafe Hospitality Students and may I add - poorly.

The staff in this hotel had a very positive attitude; very helpful - nothing too much trouble. The location of the hotel was close enough to the city yet far enough to be secluded and quiet being in a National Park.

It should be pointed out at the web site that en-suit does not necessarily connected to the bed room.

We found the staff at Reception very helpful and friendly. The location is magnificant. The walks in the area are wonderful. We especially enjoyed the Ghost tour for adults with Caz...her enthusiasm was contageous.

We booked online through this website which was easy and seamless. However I found the accounting software used at Reception totally confusing (or was it an inexperienced staff member I am not sure). There were a no of "faulty tower" moments which if you were in a hurry could have been very annoying and frustrating...eg billing something twice then only removed it on it being picked up by myself. I asked for a student discount (offered in the brochure) for the Ghost tour but they didn't know how to give it to us on the invoice so said "sorry its too late to give you a discount"...but then when I looked at my invoice/receipt at home...they had given it to us anyway without even looking at our cards !!! So all a little unprofessional and woolly but always friendly and relaxed. I'll try not to be so particular about the business side next time.

The best part of our stay at Q Station was the view and the relaxing atmosphere. To be able to have time to ourselves as well as talk to others staying at the rtreat was ideal. The breakfast was wonderful, eating ovrlooking Sydney Harbour was fantastic.

The rooms are lovely and the view is fanstastic, a really lovely break, you feel as though you are out of Sydney but in actual fact it is in the heart of Sydney with the city so close by.

Location and private (small) beachside (but difficult to reach for older people). But rather good organised transport to the beach by busses. Location with much history although not total positive Australian history.

Limited luxure, primitive bathrooms, no real value for money except when you want to pay additional for the development of this site. This aspect of this hotel has been not clearly informed to me has not Breakfast limited but strong English influence.Typical place for conferencing but paid by your company or the University. The staff is more 'pathfinder like' and not real professional.

The location on Sydney Harbour is outstanding and the history of the station is integrated into the complex.

As the hotel is in a national park parking is not allowed on site. This created some delays and mix ups in getting to & from the car park and room.
