The location of this hotel in this "village" of Niagara on the Lake is excellent for shopping, restaurants, theatres and visiting the nearby parks and Lake Ontario Lake shore. The hotel is also ideal for visits and tours of the very good wine regions and if you want a quieter place to stay for a visit to the Niagara Falls

The car parking was a little confusing at first as there is a pay and display car park in the same area although the reception staff did sort this issue out when booking in

Nice room in a great location.

The restaurant was a huge disappointment. Service was slow, portions were ridiculously small .. to the point of being insulting for the price and, after waiting an for our meal, the chef managed to ruin an expensive tenderloin (later taken off the bill). The amount of wine served per glasss was so small that we actually thought that it was for tasting (which we weren't asked to do)!

The accommodations were just outstanding. Our room was so inviting and it was a very quiet, relaxing stay for the weekend. I am so glad we made the choice of this hotel and hope to come back again..

We had a difficult time getting the air conditioner to stay on, without the fan turning on and off during the night, also we had a bit of trouble working the remote control for the tv, but thankfully a service person came down and took care of that for us :)

I liked the salt water pool and I liked the bedding and choice of pillows.

Coffee machine didn't work and bath room sink leaked.

Staff was inconsistent at best. Some were friendly and relatively helpful while others were completely hostile. We won't be back. Many much better choices in town.

The window was falling out of its casement - room 260 and I did not like the air conditioning system they have.

The general ambience was excellent. The fine detailing on the furnishings was beutiful.

My room was not particulary well cleaned. there was a stone under the bench the entire time I was there. My breakfast room service tray stayed in the hall way for 24 hours but was removed immediately when I complained at the front desk. I was given a room facing the parking lot.and was paying the full rack rate. I wondered if it was because I was a woman traveling alone. The front desk staff did not seem to know a lot about what was available in terms of walking tours, restaurants, etc. There is no information in the room about the town; only about the hotel services. The front desk didn't know/have a lot either. It was a shame because it is a beutiful hotel.

I thought it was expensive for what I received, however, the location can't be beat.

The decor is fabulous and it's location is right in the centre of things, with all three Shaw Festival theatres being just a short walk away.
