Editorial review:

This small 12 room boutique hotel is about as close as you can get to the Royal Dublin Society Showground and still have the intimate feeling of being in a private home. The sleeping rooms have a period décor and furniture, but also all of the modern amenities and if you upgrade to a suite, you will have a whirlpool bath to boot.

Bed was large and comfortable and the room was nicely fitted out. The location was fairly central was only a short walk away 5mins away from the DART station into the city center

Yes, Aircon in the room didnt work, infairness the staff brought up a portable aircon unit but it didnt make much difference as the hose to extract the warm air from the room had to be put out an open window and left open. Didnt make much logical sense to me considering it was 20deg in Dublin. The whirlpool bath didnt work and there was a few cracked and broken tiles in the bathroom. The low voltage lights also used flicker on and off in the room, most likely the transformer is over heating (probably covered by insualtion) and cuts out, once it sufficently cooled it turns back on again and the cycle repeats. There wasnt enough adequate parking also (i was luckly and got a space) as this is due to building an extension to the guesthouse.

Very overpriced, rooms shabby, bed squeaked, bathroom in need of a lot of renovations, curtains falling off rail, noisy, didnt like anything about the hotel. Certainly not 4 star.

No parking available. Very expensive 200 euro for room with no breakfast.Air conditioning did not work neither did whirlpool bath. No hairdryer, iron/trouserpress, no tea/ coffee in the room- all pretty standard now even in a b&b! Mentioned all above to reception on paying bill.

There was nothing for the price that I could say I liked

The hotel is described as a spa hotel - we did not know until arrival that the spa wil not be built until next year however they are still advertising as an Austrian spa and even their brochures on reception state this - we was nto warned about this before hand. The level of customer service from the staff was appalling - it was a catalogue of errors with no apology at any point

    Helpful reception staff

The room- first room given totally unsuitable for anyone taller than 1 metre. Wobbly canvas "wardrobe". Alot of traffic noise from Merrion Road. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Too many rooms packed into this building. Rooms need alot of repair and updating.

The hotel had lovely staff and was very clean. It was a very large room, which is unusual these days. Breakfast was very good and the staff were efficient. It is a quiet hotel. Recommend stay.

No mini bar. This should be a standard as the room service/reception isn't 24hours.

good location, lovely large room in this small European Inn. Lacking in amenities --- i.e. no towels in the bathroom, no hooks or racks to hang wet towels. Staff certainly were accomodating and service oriented but were a little inexperienced and had little knowledge of local transportation and suggestions for activities. Breakfast was excellent.

no towels in bathroom, no ice bucket, no ice either, no mini-fridge,

The staffs were all very helpful and friendly. The room was really nice with a very comfortable bed. The hotel was very calm.

The building was undergoing some serious reconstruction of the outside which made it hard to tell that it was open.

    Friendly staff

A bit run Down, They advertise their whirl pool bath, but this does not work, the front of hotel is covered in boarding. Overall hotel is looking a little tired

The staff is very friendly and helpful.

It seems that this place has been in scaffolding for quite some time already. It looks like a building site, but nothing seems to happen. In essence it's a great place, but too much DIY, in stead of doing a proper renovation.

The worst hotel I stayed in! It's not right to call such a hotel a luxury 5star hotel...

Very friendly staff, quiet location yet close to the city center.

some hotel facilities were under reconstruction /spa/ which was not announced in advance (is should have been included in the information about this hotel).
