Situated on a quiet street and excellent location.

The location is fantastic and old and quirky Hotel - just the way I like them.

Near city center friendly staff and the location of the hotel was excellent.

The hotel is just a few minutes from the train station.

It's well lit and next to police station.

The room was great, with a nice bathroom and a big bed.

I had a single room (note: single bed) for two nights.

The rooms were shabby and the bed was really uncomfortable, but the worse thing was being woken up constantly by either creeking stairs, doors slamming or just people talking in the corridors.

Public lounges on the ground floor are beautifully decorated and welcoming, as is the spacious restaurant, where a bountiful and excellent English breakfast (included in the room rate) is served every morning.

The wide range of meals available at breakfast time seemed to cater for all tastes and the facilities would also be great for hosting a conference or for a wedding.

Great deal - central location, the hotel had a lovely Agatha Christie feel to and breakfast was OK - as good as hot food served buffet style ever is.

The food is delicious & breakfast too, there are various lounges and a games room & open fireplaces.

The staff called the train station for us,then they called national train service to try and help us with our schedule to further our journey.

The staff were fine, the rooms adequate, but like the lift/elevator there are alot of creaking joints needing some TLC.

Parking is in a public carpark across the road for approx £11 per day (free at night).

Friendly atmosphere, nice building and the lobby was spacious.
