Overall great location and welcoming hotel.

Relaxing in a beautiful location, nice setting and the staff were very helpful.

Teh location is fantastic for sightseeing, a beautiful room in a picturesque hotel set in idyliic grounds and invstment into modern power-showers would fix the problem so easily.

Ive stayed twice in this pretty location and felt it was a mixed experience.

The hotel has extensive grounds over may acres and some areas did look like they were being landscaped, diggers etc and exposed underground water pipes but hopefully it will look nicer when the work is done.

The room had a very comfortable four-poster bed and the only quibble was that the bathroom was a little on the small size.

When we got there we were delighted to find we had 3 separate rooms ,the bedroom with a four poster, a lounge area and a large bathroom with a very large sunken bath.

On the first night we stayed our bed was uncomfortable (room 3)so we asked to change rooms and the manager kindly re-arranged people even though the hotel was full over easter.

Our room was basic and small but adequate- a 4 poster bed looking out the back of the hotel onto the access road, a small television and a sitting table.

The hotel was heated to perfection, the staff were friendly and the room had a very comfortable four-poster bed.

Food in restaurant excellent and good selection of half bottles of wine.

Wide bath edge to get into the shower and the restaurant meals are very good.

Breakfast was included with our room special, and the dining room is every bit as enchanting in the morning light as it is by candlelight in the evening.

The ceremony room was very nice, the food in the restaurant was good.

Breakfast was very good and wines were excellent.

Service was very good, i booked a junior suite - was very comfortable and spacious, the bar staff in the evening were struggling to be polite.

Moreover staff are extremely nice and friendly, huge windows looks out to the terrace.

Traditional English country house hotel and great service.

All the staff were pleasant, our bedroom was very clean and the breakfast provided was great.
