Only two minutes to Pelourinho and despite the road leading from the Pousada to Pelourinho doesn't seem the safest one we walked to and back the Pelourinho without problems. The woman in charge of the hotel is very helpful.
This is not a hotel, it is a pousada (hostel), so therefore don't expect 5 star hotel installations. It is quite simple and again it is not situated in the safe historical centre, so at the beginning I felt a bit unsafe walking to Pelourinho but as it is just 2 minutes away we didn't have any problems.

Breakfast was surprisingly good despite the rest of the hotel.
room was dirty. no external windows and extremely stuffy. Hotel was not clean. Suitable only for backpackers. We left after 1 night despite booking for 3.

The room did not have any external windows which means that in a city like Salvador you would struggle to sleep at night (no A/C), the location is an uphill street which did not inspire much confidence and the breakfast was poor.
