Belmonte is a charming town, the location at the foot of the Estrela Mountains is superb just for the drive up to the lake anything and the setting is magnificent.

There is the slightly corny touch that each room is named after a friar -- ours was Jose and was a beautiful large and immaculate double-bedded room with a terrace; I believe most of the rooms have terraces with lovely views.

Staff is very nice, i booked the suite is a charming accommodation and the food is fantastic.

I voted Hotel Belsol the best value-for-money of all for a stop-over, the staff very accommodating and our room was absolutely beautiful.

The rooms are large and comfortable, the restaurant is gourmet.

Staff are fantastic, the rooms are very comfortable and the Pousada restaurant is quite good.

We were there for the "mushroom festival" and ate in the restaurant both nights.

Breakfast service was equally delightful with a nice assortment of cheeses, meats, and honey as well as delicious bread, rolls, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurts, and scrambled eggs.

While the facilities and the view are just so lovely, the restaurant deserve the gold fork.

The front desk staff all speak perfect English, bathroom is nothing exceptional.

Superb views, on a beautiful hillside overlooking the opposite valley and very nice hotel close to the Estrela mountains. Staff are fantastic, the rooms are very comfortable and the Pousada restaurant is quite good. The pool is wonderful.

Amazing view, across the valley to the mountains are quite beautiful and clean and the common areas of the hotel are gorgeous. Staff is very nice, i booked the suite is a charming accommodation and the food is fantastic.

Our room had a good view over to the mountains to the west and the setting was beautiful. The decoration of the pousada was nice and cosy, service was very efficient and friendly. Furniture was Portuguese traditional.

I voted Hotel Belsol the best value-for-money of all for a stop-over, the staff very accommodating and our room was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was very good.
