Overall, the value for money was superior to that of more expensive properties in other cities; this hotel probably compares very well with similar hotels in Portland.
In short: Not a good value for the price paid, and not a good representation of the Marriott chain, which prides itself on standardized, clean hotels geared towards the business traveler.
While planning for a Valentine's Day weekend trip, we had planned to stay at a boutique hotel with a $150-200 price tag.
The hotel itself was a good value- beautiful room, lovely linens, and very quiet.
The central location was very close to shopping, restaurants, nightlife and more.
It's a great location, easy walk to Powell's Books and all of downtown.
I found the city center location to be excellent for downtown visiting.
The hotel is easy to get to from PDX airport; we took a taxi, but you can easily use the Red rail line.
I had arranged that morning with the doormen for a limo/towncar to the airport.
My room had a comfortable king size bed, but the TV was a bit on the small.
Our bed was very high quality, the staff were extremely helpful and the room was clean.
The location is excellent just a few blocks from Pioneer Square, this hotel has a hot tub that is the size of 2 and the bed's are extremely comfortable.
The room was very nice, clean, and had a great bed and shower.

We did not eat in the hotel restaurant - there are many, many good restaurants near by.
We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant one night, and breakfast every morning.
Restaurant- the breakfast (included in the price of the room) included a buffet of a variety of fresh fruit, several types of bread to toast,cereals, yogurts, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee or tea and hot entrees for 5.
Service was great, although I thought the food was a little overpriced for what you get (I've eaten at much better hotel restaurants).
The only negative was that the hotel does not have a ground floor eating area/bar.
Free internet at the business center, updated decor and service- the front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
Congratulations to the leadership of this hotel for keeping its staff happy and desk service was very friendly and helpful.
Good prices, awesome service and concierge was helpful.
Also the rates are good as well, the lobby is lovely and the front desk staff is extremely friendly.
There is also a large jacuzzi adjacent to the gym (but no pool).
Checkin is at a small lobby, and the many elevators get you to your room efficiently.
The valet parking was also prompt and very polite.
The bathroom was a little small but clean and nicely appointed.
00 special included an extremely clean room in the heart of downtown.
When I travel to The United States I expect a quiet, bright, clean large, room.
The Room was clean, the breakfast was very good.
The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean.
