The location is perfect and very close to Taksim Square.

Good location, close to Taksim Square, but in a quiet traffic restricted area with a variety of restaurants and gift shops.

Excellent free internet connections in rooms, quiet and nice location close to Taksim Square and the convention center.

Only issue was the taxi drivers used by the hotel - they come from a rank by the hotel and seriously overcharge - particularly a teenager unfamilar with Istanbul returning to the airport.

But only about 15 minutes by Taxi and close to the subway.

I stayed here for three nights on a floor suite with me on a z-bed in the lounge and my parents in the bedroom.

The rooms are comfortable and well equipped: the beds are firm (feather pillows) and they provide bottled water, wireless and ethernet internet, local and english channels, and a nice selection of bathroom goods for free.

Got the business package, stayed by myself in a room with kingsize bed for two nights.

The first few nights, I had a mini-suite, not really any larger than a regular room, but divided into a bedroom with a 3/4 wall separating it from a small living area with a desk.

They were just cleaning the carpet, bathroom and make the bed.

Breakfast (not included) is OK but expensive - try the cafe across the street or the kebab restaurant for a simple local and very cheap breakfast.

The Frommer's guide is very accurate, and I also recommend taking time for a taste of old-world Turkish cuisine and hospitality at the HaciBaba Restaurant, on the left about a block into Istiklal from Taksim square.

Breakfast, served on the top floor in an attractive room with good views, was excellent and our dinner in the hotel's Japanese restaurant was also very good (a little overpriced, but what hotel restaurant isn't).

The breakfast is served on the 9th floor restaurant and has a good view towards the major Taksim hotels (The Divan, Ceylan, Hyatt and Ritz Carlton) and down towards the Bosporus at the Dolmabahce Palace.

Desk, bar, restaurant -- all had the same story.

Staff tried to hard to provide good service (in particular the doormen who got soaked in the rain as they tracked down cabs for us in rush hour) and were friendly.

The service is above average, the staff really friendly.

I like the spa, the swimming pool, the modern furniture and decoration, the location (taksim).

There is a spa and pool on the 2nd floor, but I didn't use it.

The facilities were really good too, the swimming pool and spa were very clean and well maintained (pity the pool is indoors).

Free internet access is provided via the LCD TV and wireless keyboard, however if you have a laptop then wireless and wired high speed service is also free - big plus if you need to keep in touch with work or mates.

Business facilities are very good also, there is wireless internet access throughout the hotel (not free).

Apart from the value I got for my money, it's as central as it gets, brand new, rooms are spacious, modern and spotless clean.

Bathrooms are clean, so you can choose an orthopedic pillow and swimming pool located at level -2 are well maintained.

The rooms were modern, clean and well cared for and looked just like the pictures on the website.

Hotel room is trendy, high tech and spottlessly clean.
