Point Hotel Edinburgh - 爱丁堡

It is located close enough to the castle, so location is ok, but it is still quite a walk to Princes St.

The hotel is in a great location right next to the castle - if you don't want to go far at night there's a cinema and lots of bars and restaurants at Grassmarket a five minute walk away.

The location is simply fantastic with the tourist spots in the old town just a few minutes' walk away and loads of quaint little eateries nearby.

We flew into the airport, got the bus into city centre and was 5mins walk from there.

Location is excellent, great taxi ride from railway station to the Point and then up the hill to the Castle.

The Point is a nice hotel, the room we got was a large room with a castle view consisting of a bed, couch, desk, wardrobe and a bathroom with a bath and shower.

I had read some mixed reviews about the rooms but our`s was fine, large bed , flat screen tv, bath with good shower, tea and coffee making facilities.

The rooms were small but had everything you would need; hairdryer, comfortable bed, good bathroom etc.

The room was beautiful, the bed large and very comfortable with a spotless and elegant bathroom.

In our room, even inside the interior bathroom with the door shut the bass was still vibrating through the floor - lying on the bed was like being in a disco itself.

Rooms were perfect, the bar was nice and the wonderful meal we ate in the restaurant.

Hotel restaurant and bar excellent, great food and service and very reasonably priced for quality food.

The restaurant provides good quality, good value food - including an excellent breakfast on beautifully laid tables.

The staff are simply charming and more than helpfull, we had an amasing room overlooking the castle, we enjoyed our breakfast on both mornings and the meal in the Restaurant was out of this world!

We sampled the bar and restaurant food, both extremely nice.

However, our group of almost 20 families had to wait at least 30 mins at reception for our keys because the front desk staff weren't expecting us at that time.

Poor amenities in room, unimpressive service from reception staff and ridiculously overpriced.

The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful, but there was no sign of a bellman or other personnel to help with luggage.

From the reservation staff who took our booking right through to the chambermaids who provided special pillows I found the service to be first class.

It has to be said that the Jacuzzi was fantastic, and the spa products that were provided were lovely.

Also - no car parking which proved expensive at the car park down the road (£12 a day).

Yes there are a few sauna parlours and lap dancing bars nearby but this being Edinburgh they are not intrusive.

Bedrooms were very clean and well maintained!

The room was spotless, best meal we had in Edinburgh.

Room was kept beautifully clean, the restaurant was fantastic.

Hotel was clean, the staff were amazing very friendly and the jacuzzi in the bathroom was unexpected.

The rooms were a reasonable size and clean.
