Plaza Hotel Lucchesi Florence - 佛罗伦萨

The location, while conveniently situated along the Arno River, is about a twenty minute walk from the historic centre of Florence.

The location is a bit more of a walk from the center than a few higher end places but still very conveniently located.

I loved the location as we were able to explore the other side of Florence and we were close to the Ponte Vecchio.

If you walked from Stazione SMN I would guess it could take 30 minutes, but there is a bus stop right in from that goes to the station and a cab was only 10 euros.

5 to 7 minutes on foot from the main square!

Our room actually consisted of three: a day room with flat-screen television, the bedroom, and a large bathroom with a shower / bathtub.

Our room (standard double) was actually two rooms – an ante-room with sofa, desk and chair and TV, and the bedroom itself which was spotlessly clean and spacious, with a very nice bath.

The only downsides of the room: the bed was a bit firm for our taste and the bathroom seemed to be tired and in need of some renovation.

The room I received was the best I had on this business trip: It was very large with a modern bath, large Queen or maybe a King bed, and french doors leading to an enormous terrace overlooking the rooftops and domes of the old city.

The hotel asked if we wanted to move but we loved the room so much that the thought of moving wasn't going to happen so we kept the door to the bathroom open to get heat from our bedroom.

The restaurant was pretty good however we only ate breakfast there though as it was included in the price for us.

We ate one dinner in same restaurant food was good but room lacked atmosphere due to small number of people eating dinner.

The hotel has friendly professional staff and serves a nice breakfast in a lovely restaurant.

The staff were courteous, the room was actually very spacious and the restaurant was very nice for breakfast.

Reception staff are exceptional, the concierge booked all our museam tickets, well worth the time saved queing, a very courteous service.

The staff, particularly Federico (Manager of Reservations), Michelle (the super concierge) and Barbara (the best front desk rep ever) all work together to make sure your time with them is truly like a home-away-from home!

The view was wonderful - overlooking the Arno, the hotel staff were helpful and the concierge service was very good.

Also, a single computer on the lobby level was convenient with free internet access, complete with printer.

There was a computer with free internet and a printer just off the lobby.

Sure the elevators are tiny but we just used the grand staircase!

The only major problem we had with the hotel was that it prominently advertised free wireless internet on its brochure and over the Internet, but that was simply not the case when you got there.

The room itself was spotless, and the maid service came in twice daily to clean and fix up.

It was a wonderful hotel, clean, and our corner room was a wonderful size with a beautiful view of the Arno.

Additionally the rooms are clean and large.

The room was clean and comfortable and very attractive.

On the plus side, the room was clean and located on the side of the hotel so we did not have traffic noise.
