Hotel is clean and in a great location just off Bourbon street where all the bars and restaraunts are. A good base to experiance New Orleans french quarter.

No window in our room and the lighting was a bit dim however some rooms do have windows so mabye best to e-mail a request before arrival

excellent location at a reasonable price

our room on the ground floor looked straight onto the main road which meant anyone outside coud see straight in and meant we had to keep the curtains closed throughout

Great location and awesome courtyard - Great old hotel

Parking fee of $25 - a little high.

The location was really great - and the style was in keeping with the French Quarter

Would be nice for the breakfast to include some healthy cereals - eg. All Bran ... oats

The room was beautiful; the hotel is beautiful; the staff was courteous.

The elevator for the car garage broke and myself and many others were trapped there all day and I was not able to get my car out until 10pm. We had to convince the manager that he needed to pay for meals and drinks (even water) while we all waited and then he FINALLY offered hotel rooms elsewhere for the night to the ones who chose not to wait up late to get their cars out when it was fixed.

The location was great as well as the morning staff

Didnt care much for the night receptionist, gave a little bit of an attitude when we asked for extra towels. Oh and the pool was dirty all 3 days we were there. I thought my bathtub had a ring...geez.

Loved the history of the buildings and the koi fountain and the courtyard were so beautiful and relaxing. Loved the central location. We were able to walk everywhere.

The main thing I didn't like was that at 5 o'clock in the morning our first night there, workman started a LOT of banging and loud talking right outside our window (Rm. #201). It was really loud and I was really looking forward to sleeping in on my vacation and didn't get to and we were out late the night before. When I said something to the front desk clerk she just said 'Oh yeah they're doing some work out there'. I thought that was pretty inconsiderate and I was pretty mad that morning. Also we paid for a room with 2 double beds for my husband, I and our 21 year old son and then they charged us for having a third person. I guess I should have just gotten the cheaper 1 bed room and made them haul a cot up there. Didn't seem fair.

I liked the location, the beautiful courtyard, the excellent rolls and coffee for breakfast,, and the staff. The hotel is right off Jackson Square. We parked our car at the hotel and walked in the French Quarter. Parking is a real problem in the French Quarter, and this solved it.

We liked the ambience of Old New Orleans in the decor of the hotel and the courtyard to relax in the afternoon. The Staff was on top of thing even if we weren't. The location was excelent for everything in the French Quater, and the surrounding area. We had two 12 year old boys with us, one being our grandson, and they were impressed with what the hotel had to offer for entertainment, swimming pool, foutain with goldfish. I will recommend this hotel highly, this is where we will be staying from now on when we're in the New Orleans area.

There is nothing we did not like and would recommend this hotel highly.

The morning desk clerk was excellent as well as the man who took our bags while our room was getting ready. The man who called our cab was excellent too. All were friendly, immediately asked if we needed help, questions answered.

Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The courtyards looked better in person than in the photos. Location in the French Quarter is great; just 1/2 block from Jackson Square. Hotel parking was very convenient, but had to wait for staff to retrieve vehicle from the parking garage attached to the hotel.

When they say interior room they mean interior room; no windows. Breakfast choice was a little sparse: coffee, tea, juice, danish, and croissant.

Likes: Location, location, location! Coffee/croissant breakfast, pool. Near the action, but far enough away from noise.

Dislikes: beds were lumpy/old; furniture was worn, could be updated; not all rooms have an outside window; scratched/stained bathroom sink
