Petit Palace Arenal Hotel Madrid - 马德里

The only good thing about this hotel is the location: very close to Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace, so you can walk out right in the middle of downtown Madrid.

Great location, wonderful buffet breakfast, internet access, which was VERY conveniant and the night staff Angel and Jaime were EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable about everything from day trips to walking directions to nearby sights.

The location is great, but it's almost impossible to sleep at night since there is a disco in the front, and drunk peolple won't stop shouting untill morning.

SOL (metro station) is a 2 minute walk and it only took us half an hour an hour to get to hotel from the airport.

Metro right at the end of the street which we used to get to the airport on the way home, the ticket cost 1 euro!

Nice stuff: modern furniture, spotlights all over the room, mirror by the bed, fancy bathroom fixtures, free internet on their own computers.

I can be fussy when it comes to beds but was pleased to see that the double bed had FOUR pillows not two.

Small compact rooms with all we needed including great walk-in shower in large bathroom and modern room safe.

Rooms are small but have everything you need including mini bar, tv, internet access and large bathroom with hydro shower which was great.

We stayed in a family room that had a bunk bed.

We didn't prebook any breakfast in the hotel but were offered it as soon as we arrived - glad we chose to eat-in as the choice was extremely wide and varied.

There are tons of little restaurants and bars to eat.

The breakfast buffet is so delicious and you have so much to chose from its hard to decide what to have!

Everything was modern, worked well and they have a great breakfast buffet.

Hotel staff spoke excellent english and nothing was too much trouble - finding restaurant addresses and opening times for us on several occasions off the internet.

Pleasant reception staff, room was spacious and the breakfast was great.

My only complaints were that the day staff at the reception desk was clueless and dismissive.

The elevator in the hotel was out of order more times than it actually worked in our short stay.

The lobby is also very small and narrow, and be warned there are some large travelling groups that stay at this hotel frequently so the lobby can be very backed up.

L’hôtel est correct, propre, et un bon petit déjeuner avec une connexion ADSL dans la chambre et la possibilité d’utiliser un ordinateur dans le hall d’accueil.

The small quibble with the modern decor was that the bathroom had a clear glass door.

The rooms are clean and modern (though the tanning bulbs in the shower are a bit bizarre) and the computer with free internet access was a nice plus.

The hotel is very clean, quiet rooms at back.

The hotel is ok, is clean, great breakfast with ADSL connection in the room and possibility of using PC in the hall.

The room was clean, however - and there was a PC and exercise bike in the room.
