For the standards provided by this hotel and the prices they charge, I was delighted with my choice and would definately return.
The hotel was expensive, you can see how and why they charge those prices.
The location in far from the historic city center but close to the main tourist attractions.
The location is ideal, the trams are great and the most beautiful place - really is a palace.
The location provides a nice walk to Belem or an easy trolley to all the sites, this place is great and the staff are extremely helpful.
A taxi to the airport 12-15 € (beware of "tourist" prices, some one paid 30 €).
00, so no need to buy a taxi voucher at the airport, which costs EUR 20.
Rooms were stylish, the bed was huge and really firm and the bathroom quite lovely (great shower!
I was very dissappointed that my short holiday was spent in bed or in the toilet wherever we went!
The guest rooms are large, bath was well appointed.
Bathrooms are fitted with single sinks, tub/shower combinations, and separate toilet/bidet.
Other reviewers noted the firm beds - yes, the bed was uncommonly firm, but not uncomfortable to me.
The bar and restaurant are both excellent and the breakfast, included in the tariff, very good.
The staff are charming, the Breakfast buffet is served in the beautiful dining rooms of the restaurant and food prices are very reasonable.
You can get something to eat from the bar since the Valle Flor restaurant is pricey and formal although with excellent food.
Our arrival on a Sunday limited our choices of restaurants in Lisbon and we chose to eat at the hotels restaurant 'Valle Flor", our first look at the menu is in the restaurant's forir.
While we only had breakfast at the hotel, choosing to experiment with other restaurants downtown, the dining experience at breakfast was first class.
The hotel staff were the most accommodating, the reception was efficient and pleasant, the room was tastefully appointed and spacious.
There are fresh chocolate truffles and Port wine at the front desk for the taking, free internet, excellent business services, fruit in the spa, and help finding anything you may wish, at reasonable costs.
I cannot say enough about the staff & the quality of service they provide.
The concierge found us a fabulous private guide to tour the City, our stay was more than amazing and the staff was always approachable.
Our garden side double room was very comfortable, and we loved the piano lounge and the beautiful, grand breakfast rooms with large doors opening to the garden, pool and spa areas.
The room are in two modern wings, ours with a large patio overlooking the absolutely georgeous gardens with walking paths leading to a beautiful swimming pool and spa.
I was in a conference but could use the facilities: Spa, outdoor and indoor pool, huge gardens, not very seen in city hotels.
They brought a bottle of port wine and pastries to our room one night and the next evening we found a bottle of champagne and a bowl of fresh strawberries waiting for us to enjoy.
