The location was ideal as a quiet rural retreat yet with easy access to nearby restaurants and sightseeing.

First impressions of this Pension were most unfavourable and were such that we almost got back into our car and left. The "car park" is so untidy and is more like a builders yard. Our hostess, knowing that we were arriving for a 5 night stay, had gone for a bicycle ride and there was no-one to welcome us. Although the room was a good size the twin beds were only 2' 6" wide but were comfortable. The breakfast at e8.50 Was quite good but for a pension was overpriced. At e17.00 For 2 of us it was very expensive. The vegetarian evening meal at E25.00pp was poor value. We felt insulted at being served a cheap Spanish red wine when we were surrounded by Alsace vineyards producing superb local wine. We felt that the owner and his daughter having only recently begun this bed and breakfast business have a lot to learn. They lacked a professional approach, and understood very little English. They do not accept credit cards.

They charged 8 euro for breakfast and all we got was bread cheese and coffee. Staff was nice and very quiet place, unless someone is walking in the halls or up stairs. Looks like they are doing some work around the house and once they have finished I'm sure it will look nice. Rooms could have been a bit cheaper.
