The closeness to the city centre. Bedroom was clean, comfortable and lovely bathroom and shower.

We had an excellent stay at the above hotel which fitted our requirements perfectly. We would stay there again if necessary, the one small dissapiontment I felt was the breakfast. Overcooked sausage and undercooked egg. No one of the best I have had, but overall very happy with our accommodation.

A compact, comfortable hotel located in a pleasant part of the city of Lancaster. Friendly, efficient service. Great value.

Parking was tricky but we managed to find an overnight spot with help from the staff.

The staff was very polite, friendly (but not overly) and aimed to meet my needs. The best thing about this hotel was its hospitality.

They did not have room service. But on the other hand, it made me get out and enjoy the ambiance.

I liked the bar downstairs which is also the restaurant and where residents have breakfast. Good comfortable room, with excellent bed. Very well located for getting into the rest of Lancaster on foot and close to lots of other places. Cllever design features in the room to maximise space. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good overall and would recommend for location.

There was nothing specific, just some niggles re not being able to work the tv, empty the bath water, (which was me being obtuse). The room I had was at the front of the hotel and bang opposite a night club called Revolution, the rroom was double glazed but you can still hear street noise. There is only one small window that can be opened, which means the air conidtioning has to be on to cool the room down. I think this could be a serious drawback at times. Limited parking at the hotel but there is a big car park very close by,.

Good location in Lancaster city centre- walking distance to lots of things. Good value, well furnished room, all necessary amenities. Good breakfast, nice service. Overall pleasant atmosphere, have stayed before and would stay again.

Limited parking, did reserve a space, which we had but surprised to have to pay £5 a night for it- especially as it wasn't particularly secure.

Brilliant location as my husband was receiving treatment at the hospital which was within easy walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent - best eggs benedict ever.

The room was hot and stuffy. Difficult to get any air into the room.

Lovely place to stay. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Delicious food. Liked the fact that unless you stayed there you didn't have access to the hotel rooms, lift or corridors. Access controlled with your room key or doors only opended into public spaces.

Breakfast was a bit disorganised on one of the mornings. Needed to ask for bowls, glasses and to order our cooked food.

For us it was convenient because we visited people. Did not like the surrounding no facilities to park to unload the car, and the hotel room was dark.

The surrounding, no car park dark interior.Staff not too friendly

Very nice combination of friendly Inn and good food - fine dining as well as well done pub classics.

Beds were too soft, bit otherwise a very nice room.

Great bathtub, room quiet as requested, nice location near the canal for a walk after dinner. I was amazed they have Warsteiner lager on tap in the bar/ restaurant, when usually what is imported are the German white beers. Professional service, good breakfast.

Reception wasn't always staffed and sometimes it took a few minutes for someone to come but the staff were clearly hard-working and for a family-run hotel that seems excusable. Would have been nice to have a bar in the room.

I really like the style of the hotel, great bedroom and bathroom, very clean, and wonderful view (although the weather was bad)

The only problem was the temperature inside the bedroom, very cold and it was not posible to control the temperature

      Great breakfast.

Room was opposite nightclub across street and could hear some funky beats until past my bedtime. Not loud enough to disturb me but may prevent sensitive souls from sleeping soundly.

The Hotel has kept all the original fittings in the downstairs reception rooms and dining room, but the Bedroom have been bought up to very modern standards. Clean and comfy bedrooms with a wonderful shower. Every thing was catered for..

My only gripe was the lack of parking. I did reserve a car space. But I think there were only 4 spaces in total.

The contrast between the old world structure in the bar and dining room to the modern fitments in the rooms themselves was great. You can see the splendour and craftmanship of years ago and the ultra modern style of the rooms.Brilliant. In the center of the town with all the bars and clubs.there was a club across from our room (25) but no noise from it.
