Pelham House Hotel Lewes

Convenient location, well located hotel at sensible price and staff were extremely helpful and efficient.

The location is amazing, i don't think the hotel knows good their chef is and the staff are very helpful.

The wonderful location would outweigh any negative points that we could come up, an enjoyable experience for a businessman stopping in Lewes for the one night and staff could not have been more helpful.

The hotel is beautiful, the location in Lewes and nearness to Brighton is excellent and the room was vey clean and well appointed.

During my stay i wanted to venture out of the town into Brighton, the hotel made sure transport was sorted as i didn't want to drive.

Although I has a basic room it was very clean and had a great bathroom (shower only) I did see the deluxe rooms and as pointed out well worth paying the xtra to obtain these rooms as the bathrooms are "out of this world".

The bathroom was the best I have ever seen in a hotel room - the same size as the bedroom with a huge roll-top bath in the centre of the room, a double shower, double sink etc.

The bed was also big and comfortable and the bathroom, which did have a bath, worked well.

The bathroom in the bridal suite is something else and wood panelled room no.

The room was very tastefully furnished with a huge bed and other nice touches.

When the time came for dining in the evening the hotel were able to offer me a table in the hotel restaurant Circa, which offers modern food at a reasonable price, they were also able to give me good reccommendations of nearby restaurants.

The cuisine at Circa, the restaurant, may not be to everyone's tastes as it is quite experimental and wouldn't suit old-fashioned palettes, but it's been fully booked every night I've been so that's a good testament to its popularity.

The bar was also lovely drinks were reasonably priced, breakfast was good and i would say this was an excellent choice for families.

The location in the centre of Lewes was perfect, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, arriving on New Year's Day the service throughout was excellent.

Convenient location for exploring the surrounding countryside, fantastic place and efficient staff gave excellent service.

Great views of the downs, in fact the breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel for a long time and the member of staff on reception was very welcoming and helpful.

Overall a comfortable though unusual place to stay - well placed for the town centre (But book a parking space at the hotel) - but a bit on the costly side.

We found the hotel easily - a remarkable historic building with a splendid garden.

Bathroom were both spotless and i had an excellent breakfast ouitside viewing the lovely gardens.
