The best thing about my bedroom was the stunning views and the hotel was good value for money.
The hotel was good value for money and I would certainly go back for a visit and would jump at the chance to eat there again.
Well worth the money and the hotel is spotlessly clean throughout.
Frankly we had no desire to pay to eat at a hotel that had ruined our weekend.
The en-suite bathroom included a superb corner bath, breakfast in the conservatory was just the best way to start a day and the dinner was exquisite.
Room itself was spotless, with fresh fruit, drinks, double bed etc.
Comfortable bed and large digital LCD TV.
The room ( see pic) was perfectly furnished and equipped for a country hotel and was one of two rooms on the ground floor with its own patio.
The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout with nice touches in the rooms; complimentry sherry & mineral waters, bathrobes, fresh flowers, fruit & homemade shortbread and to reassure visitors from the US they do provide "face cloths" in the bathrooms.
We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night - the food was very good but the waiting staff did not communicate at all and were very inpersonal.
They also had a special on which was £55 for B&B if you had eaten in the restaurant.
The personal service is fantastic and the restaurant boasts one of the UK top 100 chefs, and it shows in the qualityof the menu and the food.
Breakfast in the conservatory was just the best way to start a day.

The service was excellent and receptionist was very pleasant.

A lovely hotel, the building itself is fairly nice albeit a little dated and the staff are always so very friendly.
Another wonderful meal in a great atmosphere and attentive non-intrusive staff.
The next day after our garden tour, we returned to find a beautiful wedding going on at the hotel and we were welcomed to join the party.
Thank you to Francis and Anne for fabulous hospitality, a wonderful garden and special welcome.
Room itself was spotless and the food was superb.
The hotel decor is old, but clean and the executive room we had was lovely.
It's not clear why they cancelled our room, (maybe a larger party needed an additional room at the last minute) but they should have handled the situation much better.
