Patio Andaluz Hotel Quito - 基多

The location is incredible, centrally located just a block from Independence Plaza.

The location is perfect and the old town in Quito is a fantastic place to stay.

We needed a good location and comfortable place.

Well positioned for airport and old town.

US$10 (the normal rate is US$5) but don't use a tour company to arrange for airport transfer, I asked Metropolitan (the largest Ecuador travel company & lindblad's local agent) for airport transfer & they quoted me US$50!

I had a room with a living room area on the first floor, and a spiral staircase to the loft area where the bed and bath were located.

Although we were only to be there a few hours, the room was clean, beautiful and fit in wonderfully with the old style of this area of Quito - we even had giant rosary beads above the bed!

Rooms are very nicely laid out (both times we were there we had one of the split level "superior" rooms), bathrooms are clean, showers are decent and beds are comfortable.

Hilton, my room the 1st time around was a split level loft style room with a living room downstairs and the bed upstairs, the room faced the street garcia moreno but noise was not an issue.

My room was very large and very comfortably furnished (the bed was heaven).

There is a little local place right across the street (very small) that offered a great local breakfast and there were tons of other little restaurants and pastry shops close by.

We only ate breakfasts in the restaurant, but the food and service were of high quality.

The public spaces of the hotel are also really gorgeous (the foyer, restaurant, bar, etc).

We had no other meals there, preferring to eat out - there are several good restaurants within 5 minutes walk, though options are limited on Sundays.

The restaurant food is varied and well priced.

The service was first class and the staff delightful.

The staff were great--every single person who worked there was wonderful from the door man, bell man, front desk clerks, the housekeeping staff, and the wait staff in the restaurant.

The only negative points I can think of are that the showers were of variable quality, and there isn't a lift, for people who have mobility problems.

The lobby and building are well maintained and attractively furnished and decorated.

Bathrooms are clean, a free computer to use for a limited amount of time and the restaurant is quite good.
