Parliament House Hotel Edinburgh - 爱丁堡

This hotel is in an excellent location just off the end of Princes Street and yet situated in a very quiet spot.

The location is fantastic - pole position for sightseeing in Edinburgh - the staff most congenial and accomodating, comfy quiet hotel close to city area.

The hotel is in a very convenient location with everything nearby from restaurants to pubs, cinemas and great shopping - not to mention the ambience of Edinburgh.

Hotel is about 7/8 mins on foot from the last drop off point from the airport bus before making its return journey to the airport.

We had travelled into the city on the airport shuttle bus and got off at the last drop off point at Waverley station.

And so to bed on the first night, every time somebody on the uper floors flushed the toilet, emptied a bath, had a shower, the noise of the water going down the drains was phenominal.

The room was large and very welcoming, and the double bed was massive and very comfortable: we usually steer clear of double beds as they are often small and have a dip in the middle.

Room was small, shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and bed sheets were ripped.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom contained usual facilities and a jet bath, it was fitted for disabled useage and that was a big plus point, even though neither my partner nor myself are actualy disabled.

Lovely big bed, spotless bathroom with a great shower and the lack of a towel rail is the only criticism.

Evening meals in the restaurant were very good but breakfast was shambolic on our second day.

The restaurant is small and basic, but the (included) breakfast was fine and the early bird dinners tasty and reasonably priced.

We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening, and although the staff could not have been more courtious the food was not quite up to the standard of the hotel.

The staff were all very friendly, the food in the Bistro restaurant superb (they had some special offers on too when we stayed which turned out to be very good value for money).

Breakfast was good although the bistro is just that - a bistro (don't plan a special dinner there, although would be nice for lunch).

Reception staff were very helpful and the receptionist was lovely.

Reception area and lounge was warm (-7ºC outside)and welcoming and staff were friendly and helpful.

Furthermore central for Edinburgh, an ideal venue for marathon runners and very nice lobby.

Parliament House Hotel with its open fire in the lobby I knew it was going to be a fantastic weekend!

Downstairs in the lobby, there were nice, comfortable wing-backed chairs for stretching out and relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

I immediately tried the wireless internet and my laptop picked it up easily.

Room was clean and the breakfast was very nice.

The bedrooms are spacious,clean and comfortable.

The rooms were clean with 'quaint' decor - different patterned carpet and curtains!

The room we had was small but comfortable and clean, with nice furnishings.

Rooms were spotlessly clean and great power shower.
