• The food in the buffet was really not to our tastes, but the speciality restaurant was fabulous. Also we had lunch by the pool and it was great also. Our room was small, but very clean and adequate for 2-nites.

  Problem: Shower water went rapidly from HOT to cold.

  The food was good, same food you will find at any other all inclusive. Also, you are not on the side of the city so you are going to have to take a 5 mins cab ride to get there. The cabs are out to make a profit so ensure you ask the rates before you get in the cab, be assertive, they lower their prices!

  The resort is very nice but on a steep hill and while the elevators were working throughout the stay, if they had been broken i would have been a very grumpy girl lol.

  As for our hotel accomodations, we were not impressed with the low quality of food and service at the Park Royal. They also nickle and dime you for everything (gym is $5 every use/ Internet is $3 every use). The taxi situation was also annoying as you pretty much depended on them to see anything outside of the resort.

  We arrived to smiling faces and great food. The room was only OK--some things didn't work but were taken care of. Everything was very clean and the staff very helpful. We understood this hotel to be a quiet retreat for relaxation and a slower pace. We had to fight for our place in line or a seat at the pool every step of the way.

  Well, when the SB's arrived not only was it so noisy that we had to request a room change, the facilities were taxed to the limit. The pool was filthy by mid day and everything was so crowded we could hardly use the pool.

  The hotel is clean the pool by the beach was filthy (this was from the split drinks and urine). All the staff should have this guys demeanour. Nightly entertainment consisted of two karaoke nights and one casino night (a couple of guests were professional dealers had they not been there it too would have been lame)the remainder of the nights there was no entertainment. To sum it up Park Royal is a hotel not a resort.

  The students are obnoxious, rude, unable to handle their liquor and apparently believe it is acceptabe to urinate in the pool. The entertainment staff was the worst we have ever come across in Mexico.

  It would have been nice if the hotel offered some type of shuttle at a reduced price at least.

  Rooms were clean had a nice view, but something always lacking once housekeeping has been there. Most of the time they never replaced washcloths after cleaning the room. When attempts made to call them was met by a dial tone after the phone was slammed down. No place to get water after a certain time of night. They do have ice machines, bottled water machines broken. The rudeness of the front desk/ houskeeping staff is the reason I will never stay at Park Royal again.

  And if you need to walk up the hill to your room or lobby you could walk, or take the little incline tram cars.

  And you could rent all that jet ski and typical beach sport equipment if you wanted.

  The food was OK, it did get a bit repetitive but we went to some really great restaurants. They have a good private beach (nobody bothering you seling there wares)The hotel is in a hard to reach location (you cant walk there, need to take taxis)Make sure you ask the taxi how much before you get in. They do not have toast at breakfest but if you ask wait staff, they will make it for you.

  The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful place to stay, far enough from main downtown, but, just a short taxi ride to town.

  We both were too sick to leave the room and when I called the operator to ask for some assistance with soup/water, she was going to look into it but never called us back. Here is an overview of what I consider relevant information:. Bring your own hairdryer, the one in the room will not straighten your hair girls! Entertainment: Poolside bingo, water/beach volleyball and karaoke only.

  They do have elevators and a tram that will take you up and down but they are really slow.
