Paragon Hotel Birmingham - 伯明翰

Has a free car park located next to and excellent location.

I suppose the price reflects the central location, but again, I've stayed in bnbs in the centre of towns for half the price and nicer, better equipped rooms.

Great location for NEC/NIA and the convenience of a taxi service at a fixed rate.

I got a taxi to the hotel from New Street Station, then I realised that for the duration of my stay in Birmingham, I was going to have to rely on taxis to go anywhere.

However it would be reccommeded to get a taxi from the city centre to the hotel at night, as the deserted roads can be a bit intimidating and maze-like (we got a black cab from the centre and it only cost £4.

It was a small room but had a lovely comfortable bed, toilet and shower, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and most of all was very warm.

My room (102) was a double room, ingeniously designed to use the smallest area in which to accomodate a double bed, shower, loo, hanging area and desk.

The room was made even more comfortable by the stark white walls, matching white bed-linen, white duvet cover and white towels.

Anyway, back to the hotel, the room was tiny but clean and had the most comfy bed I have slept in for a while.

We only booked this hotel as an overnight base for a show at the NEC the next day, and Ok the room was very cheap for bed and breakfast, so I can't really complain.

We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on the food or restaurant.

Basic but clean, adequate sized rooms with bath and shower, nice hotel bar and restaurant looked attractive though I didnt sample the food unfortunately.

2 years of dust and stains on 30 year old carpet,'school dinner' style breakfast and meal facilities,overpriced bar.

Reception areas, bar and restaurant tastefully decorated - a welcoming feel to the place.

Restaurant food the worst I have ever eaten (my colleagues agreed) - chicken dish consisted of one chicken thigh!

The reception staff were great, and breakfast is self service.

Helpful reception staff and comfortable beds.

The outside of the building is impressive and very helpful reception staff as i didn't check in 1 30 am.

Some parking available on road you're willing to risk and the lobby is spacious and comfortable.

The website blurb states that secure car parking is available at £5 per car for 24hrs.

As the hotel is so big they could improve facilities by having a games room, a separate TV room and maybe a Gym and Sauna.

It was clean and tidy with average rooms and it takes 15 mins to walk into the city centre.

On entering our room we found it of a reasonable size, it was clean and everything that you could need was provided.

Both times the staff have been absolutely lovely and bedrooms are clean.

The room was clean and its a 10/15 min walk to selfridges breakfast was very good.

Room was very clean and breakfast was fine.
