We had to pay the docotrs fees, despite him saying the hotel was to blame.
This is no fault of the hotel and you could pay a lot more for the same experience if you stayed in one of the other hotels.
Very ideal is the location if one plays golf.
The bungalows are quite nice and have a better location but they are better suited to a couple rather than a family.
If you are looking for a resort which is a little quieter that the norm then this resort is great - for those who want something a little livelier, shuttle buses run every hour in and out of Chaweng and taxi's are cheap.
On my first visit i was a bit worried when then the taxi turned of the main road onto the drive leading to the hotel.
Most standard rooms have a double bed and a single bed in them.
The rooms are clean but relatively basic for a resort, but there is air con, TV a bathroom and all those other standard things.

During our stay the water was very warm but cloudy and walking out to deeper felt slightly unpleasant as the sea bed felt like mud.
My husband complained that the bed was very hard but I loved it.
The bar staff are excellent, the restaurant service and food is very good and whilst somewhat limited breakfast is also good.

The bar sits right on the beach (with the restaurant and 2nd pool beside it).
The hotel has a very good chef and staff, in both the restaurants and Bar Area.
The staff are so friendly and provide wonderful service (especially helpful as Qantas lost my luggage for 5 days).
We were greeted by the very friendly staff who sat us down in the reception area overlooking a magnificent pool area (where we spent most mornings - lazing around on the deck chairs) and lush tropical gardens.
The pools are very good and clean, the massage tent was good and the reception staff were very friendly.

The Garden pool was very nice and had some shady areas which we enjoyed but the pool near the beach was dirty the tile grouting was black/brown in places.
We only wish they had a pool, but then I suppose the price would be higher.
But there is also a great pool for those who prefer not to swim in the sea.
The rooms are clean and the emphasis is on comfort rather than luxury.
The staff were delightful and helpful, the rooms pools etc were impeccably clean.
