Palacio San Martin is located in the centre of Madrid, close to the shopping and tourist district yet enjoying the quietness of the Plaza San Martín which it shares with the Las Descalzas Reales Convent.

This 19th century building was the first US Embassy and was restored as a charming hotel in 2001. Now it is protected by Patrimonio Nacional (National Heritage) due to its historical interest and original elements. On the premises guests will find a gymnasium and a sauna, as well as a tour desk and laundry service.

The hotel comprises 94 elegantly appointed guestrooms with free internet connectivity. All of them have respected the palatial style of the 19th century, dressed in light colours. The bathrooms are fully fitted and spacious.
