Palacio Del Retiro Madrid - 马德里

The location of this hotel cannot be faulted - it is close to major tourist attractions such as the Prado and right next to the beautiful Retiro park.

Also the location is perfect and the 3 great museums are really nearby.

Lovely location next to the park and small luxury hotel that makes you feel like you are at home.

Nearest metro station is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

If you want to get a feel of MADRID at night you will have to walk to Puerta Del Sol or Plaza Mayor ( about 15 to 20 minutes )or take the metro ( the Retiro station is 3 minutes away from the hotel ).

酒店的房间数很少,这对要求个性化服务的客人来说确实是一大优点.

但好的一点是它旁边有一个冰箱,里面有瓶装水,客人可以免费饮用.

如果你只根据地理位置,酒吧等一些因素在马德里选酒店的话,这家绝对是最棒的.

I ate one dinner, two breakfasts, and several buffet snacks in the restaurant but as a vegetarian (practically against the law in Spain) I had no hope or expectation of getting decent food.

We decided not to bother with the restaurant and headed out for breakfast ( 30 euros in the hotel) at one of the fantastic patisseries on Serrano, where I became obsessed with their coffee and croissants.

There is a FREE minibar, tons of products (even creams made for men), CD player, nice bar and restaurant.

The restaurant was empty (even at 930/10, traditional time to have dinner in Madrid) but the food was good, a little bit heavy in some instances but again excellent service.

Front desk staff was IMPRESSIVE and the room was quite large.

Beautiful park Retiro is right front of the hotel and the reception staff is also great - always helpful.

The Spa/Sauna area downstairs is just AMAZING and the best thing for jet lag!

The spa area was well-appointed with items such as sauna, steamroom, and bubblepool - although sadly with non-working showers which was a bit of a dealbreaker after getting out of the sauna.

There was also a cute-looking fitness room which I suspect real gym-freaks would consider inadequate, although I was impressed with its help-yourself fridge full of cold drinks.

The rooms were clean, one of the best meals we had in Europe.

After an inauspicious stay at the Preciado and Villa Real, it was a relief to find a room in Madrid that felt clean and comfortable.
