Overall I would encourage people looking for good value in a premium location to book this hotel and maybe upgrade to a better room.
The following morning they called our aunts (too early for a Sunday morning) saying that they looked for us in other hotels close-by offering to pay the night for us.
The beach in the neighbour Forte dei Marmi much more clean, there is a nice view on the top floor and the hotel is excellent.
Excellent location, entitling us to free on-street parking for the duration of our stay and staff were attentive and helpful.
Nice location and each private beach access has its own showers.
Superb location and tip: The hotel terrace bar has a lovely view of the beach.
In a great location overlooking the sea, because near by tere are plenty of dining places and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Viareggio is a wonderful seaside resort and is only 20 minutes away from Pisa airport (the train goes directly from the airport).
The Palace however has old fashioned style in the communal areas and bedrooms but up to the minute modern bathrooms (at least it did in room 222!
The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was fine although they were a bit stingy with the towels.
It had a big and nice bathroom with tub + shower and the usual additions (hair dryer, shampoo.
All staff were very accommodating and friendly, the bed was unbelievably comfortable, the choice of food was excellent.
Early 1900's style, helpful staff and the bed was also large.
The bar service was lovely, breakfast was good and the waiters waitresses were pleasant friendly.
Up lifting Claudia the terrace bar manager was always polite, breakfast was good.
Each private beach access has its own showers, WC, lifeguard, snack bar or mini restaurant, and it is all very well kept.
We have no opinion about the restaurant for dinner as we found lots of great restaurants outside.
BUT the breakfast was great, staff were attentive and helpful and the bar service was lovely, proper pringles, olives and doritos with our glasses of wine.
The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the maids too.
Supportive staff and room service was really great.
Furthermore the reception staff were excellent - recommending restaurants.

Moreover hotel roof terrace spectacular, lobby interior are very beautiful and the staff is very professional and helpfull.
Tip: when parking in Viareggio be really careful because several nights a week they clean the streets overnight and you have to move your car (which can be quite confusing) but the hotel will advise you.
We also had the use of the swimming pool which was also on the beach (only drawback you have to wear a swimming hat for both male & female, cost 1.
A beautiful traditional Italian Hotel, service wsa excellent and the rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The beds were clean and a roof terrace that made every evening memorable.

Our room (210) was clean and not too small.
