The hotel is fabulous, the rooms are nice - spacious a bit dated in their decoration and most of the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Beautiful spa terry robes, the food was excellent.
The location is perfect - next to the lakeshore and this hotel has a lovely position right on Lake Lucerne.

Getting around

There is no airport available in the city, but if you prefer to travel by plane, you can get to Zurich Airport and then take a train to Lucerne railway station, which is five minutes' walk away from the hotel.

If you arrive by car, you should follow the direction Bern/Basel/St. Gallen/Luzern from Zurich, then take exit Zurich-West. Follow the signs towards Lucerne, take the exit Zentrum/Kussnacht a. R, turn left into Pilatusstrasse. Thus you will get into Haldenstrasse and directly to the Palace Luzern.

The town was near enough to walk to, we had a car to take us round, the view was probrably the best money can buy of the lake and surrounding hillsides, the hotel staff were pleasant. The room was spectacular, dinner at the restaurant was equally as wonderful and concierge were most helpful in advising us. The spa was great.

Beautiful view and brilliant stay. Staff friendly and helpful, large bathroom, great piano player in the evenings. Very good 1* michelin restaurant, fresh fruit and wonderful garden environement for lunch and dinner. We also missed a nice pool.

The view of the lake is fantastic, possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed at and the staff are incredibly friendly and truly go above and beyond. The rooms are large and provide a great experience, the food and drinks, rather pricey, are excellent.
