  The staff was extremely (and genuinely) friendly. The complimentary food is great and is available throughout most of the day.

  Our room at the Palace was designed with every convenience, including blackout curtains to sheild the loooong days and very early morning sunlight. There was a charming breakfast room (afternoon tea was on offer too, but we were too busy exploring to partake) with a view of the islands, market square and harbor activities including a facinating fishmarket. A classy spanish theme eatery in the Hotel was a find, as we arrived late, and would have otherwise raided the well-stocked but nutrition challenged mini-bar. Most fabulous of all was the friendly and professional staff. Perfect location (and everything else) in Helsinki.

  Palace Helsinki Hotel has excellent location right in the downtown with beautiful sea view, big and comfortable rooms in nordic style, modern design of the facilities, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere of a small hotel, easly access to the airport and the railway station, great view during the breakfast. Palace Helsinki Hotel has excellent location ".

  We were in one of the standard rooms, which was nice, but had no view. The hotel's reception is on the ground floor along with the lounge, but the rooms are all on the 9th floor, which is a bit odd! Breakfast was good and there was also free snacks and wine in the evening time, which was a very nice touch. Other than that it was fine, so if you are looking for a reasonable hotel in a good location at a reasonable price, this would be a good choice.

  The rooms were very large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and was very tasty.

  The location is excellent and the staff extrememly efficient and helpful. We left massive suitcases in their luggage room while we dived off into Russia for a week: when we eventually got into the palace for that one night, they'd already been taken up to our rooms. Our rooms, too, by special request, overlooked the harbour and had balconies - what a beautiful view to wake up to in the morning. A well-stocked mini-bar but no room safes. My only complaint was that the bathroom was not absolutley spotless: dried soap from a previous user on the sink top and an unfortunately coloured stain by the toilet. I'd have noticed anyway but coming from Russia, where the bathroom seemed to be cleaned microscopically daily (see review of the Dostoevsky hotel, St.
