By car move southwest on Via Aeroporto toward Via Prati Maggiori for 650m and take the 2nd turning right onto Via Lugano, continue onto Piazza colonnello Vicari which turns slightly left and becomes Contrada S. Marco, continue onto Via Cantonale and go through two roundabouts for about 2.3km, then continue onto Via Colombera for 1.2km and turn left to stay on 398 highway. Entering Italy from 398 highway turn right onto Via Zanoni, continue onto Via Luino for 230m and turn left onto Via Varese, then after 140m turn right onto Via Luigi Colombo/SS233 and go straight for 1.7km, later turn left onto Via Piacco/SS233 and again drive straight for about 600m. Turn right onto Via Statale/SS233, go through three roundabouts and turn right onto Via Valganna/SS233, go through one roundabout for 2.1km and at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Viale dell'Ippodromo, then turn left onto Viale Padre Gian Battista Aguggiari, turn right onto Via Giuseppe Grandi for 300m, later turn right onto Via Monte Rosa for 400m and continue straight onto Piazzale della Libertà, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Via dei Campigli and finally turn right onto Via Silvio Pellico.

Malpensa Airport is approximately 22.2km away.

By car drive west for about 140m and turn right toward Via C. Facchinetti for 1.3km, continue straight onto Via C. Facchinetti and then turn right toward SS336, take the ramp to Milano-Varese/Gallarate/Busto A for 270m and merge onto SS336, go straight for 10.8km and take the exit on the left onto A8/E62 toward Varese/Gravellona Toce, continue to follow A8 for about 17.5km and later take exit Azzate-Buguggiate toward Azzate/Buguggiate. Merge onto SP1/SP57, go through one roundabout for 4.4km and at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Via Filippo Corridoni, go through one roundabout for 2.3km and turn right onto Via Francesco Daverio, later continue onto Via Evaristo Trentini and at the roundabout exit onto Via dei Campigli, after 400m turn right onto Via Silvio Pellico.

  Beautiful views and close to golfing, nice place on the top of the city. Overall, the staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are spacious, as well as bathroom.

  All of views just leave you absolutely speechless, the Palace Hotel is great indulgence and two small balconies in my single room.

  The staff didn't measure up to the standards you would perceive for the facility and the food in the restaurant is mainly frozen.

  Fabulous grand old hotel from the outside in a nice park overlooking the lake and professional staff. Big rooms, high ceilings, marbel, fantastic and breakfast very good.

  The hotel sites on a small hill and the view is wonderfull from the windows, the rooms are nice and big and truly make you feel like you are in a palace.

  Very good location up the hill in Varese, relaxed atmosphere and great style "art nouveau" palace. Friendly English speaking staff and super room. Cool cocktail bar in the gardens each evening and rich breakfast.

  Finally never worth the price and pillows were very uncomfortable.
