The hotel offers great value and good Price.
Overall a very good value in a nice area and clean hotel for the money.

The location and proximity to the beach made up for any of the major shortfalls of the hotel.
The hotel is only 8 miles from the airport and really close to Seaworld, Old Town, LaJolla 10 minutes up the road, and the signs to downtown San Diego are very easy especially to Gaslamp, Seaport Village, and the harbor cruises.
The bus stop is in front of the hotel and just ask Karla or Frank for directions, they'll get you right to wherever you want to go.
My recently remodeled room (I can't speak for the other rooms) had a comfortable new bed and a beautiful, fresh decor that was on par with what you would see at an upper-end Hampton or Fairfield.
The staff was friendly and helpful, my recently remodeled room had a comfortable new bed.
The beds were comfortable (on the firm side, but very supportive), the bathroom was clean and a nice size (our shower was very spacious), and we had a small refrigerator and microwave in a separate closet room.
The room was gorgous and the bed had a pillowtop mattress.
Tacky furniture, so so bed and very, very tired bedding.
We didn't partake in the continental breakfast, but there are plenty of local and chain restaurants within walking distance and the beach is literally a 15 second walk away.
The hotel is within 500 feet of the beach, close to many restaurants/shops/etc.
The Motel is situated one block back from the beach, and on the main road through Pacific Beach, a short walk from many restaurants, bars, surf shops etc.
Plus, the location is a very short walk to the beach and only a couple blocks from Garnet Ave, which has a great selection of restaurants, shops and bars.
Restaurants and shopping within a comfortable walking distance.
The quality of customer service did vary somewhat depending upon who was at the front desk, but in general, everyone was very friendly.
The front desk staff was also very polite and quick.

Guest Service Manager Karla Jauregui and her assistant Frank make you feel like you're somewhere that should cost twice the price.
The pool is sparkling clean, linens are plentiful (even poolside), the morning coffee and pastries are a delight and even though all 56 units were filled, it's as quiet as a walk in the woods.
The pool could use a good coat of paint at the bottom.
I realy liked the pool because was so clean.
