I agree with the previous reviews that this is an fair hotel but nowhere near four star quality Overpriced.
The hotel was nice enough, but I would agree with the other reviews that it was not really worth the money.
The area: Oxford is great and this hotel is all high quality.
Excellent position was able to walk into Oxford alongside river and we found the hotel easy to find.
Very good hotel in a quiet location but close to the centre of oxford.
The location of the hotel is ideal it is within 20 minutes walking distance of the city centre so I managed to take advantage and have a night in Oxford.
Good location within 15 minutes walk of Oxford City Centre.
Our taxi back from Jericho on Sat night cost only £4!
Excellent position for Oxford sightseeing, only a 5pound taxi ride into town you're feeling lazy and enjoy spending nice English evening by watching sunset into well maintained garden/fields.
Our room was clean, a good size and had the usual furniture,(table, chair, hairdryer, roomsafe, tv etc) The bed was comfortable.
Staff is great and i like the rooms the fact that is quiet the special dinner bed.
Our room was beautiful (one of the newer connoisseur rooms), large and spacious with very comfortable beds.
This didn't really bother us, as the bed was quite large & me & my friend have shared Double beds before!
The room: the bed has seen better days and sagged.
Also the breakfast was eggsellent (full fry up if you want it),we didnt eat in the evening but people seemed to be happy coming out of the restaurant.
Shower plus an overall spacious feel to, the bar also seemed to be well staffed and the breakfast is especially excellent.
Excellent english breakfast buffet Staff in the restaurant were very friendly.
I did not use the restaurant except for breakfast buffet, which was good.
The bar and restaurant are quite expensive, as we had already spent alot on the room ( whch was quite pokey), we didn't want to spend?
We arrived on the bank holiday friday and were very impressed by the reception staff who were very polite and efficient,the room was lovely and big and spotlessly clean.
Scenic walk into Oxford, very efficient staff at front desk and bathrooms are big and comfortable.
Lovely views, worth staying at this hotel as provides an all round good service and other staff very friendly.
Meals were lovely and the only good member of staff on reception we encountered was Polish.
The pool was large and warm with the "four Pillars" roman thing going on, also the spa pool, steam room and Sauna.
The Leisure club was great - swimming pool, spa, steam room and sauna, all very relaxing & I had a nice facial too.
We love relaxing in the Leisure Club which is free to guests, including Sauna, Gym, Pool, etc.
The bathroom was clean and tidy and well maintained although I do agree with other reviewers on the fact that the shower mat is slippery.
We had two rooms, which were clean, well equipped and spacious.
Our bathroom was clean, all the facilities were excellent including food and the walks around the gardens plus riverside were beautiful.
Moreover the rooms are clean and the recration facilities are great.
The staff are friendly in a 'professional' way, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the dinner is excellent too.
