Owyhee Plaza Hotel Boise - 博伊西

The central location was very nice for someone who had never been to Boise before.

The only benefit is the location, which is good.

If you want the location, aren't overly critical then I would guess most of the time you'll be happy; unless you hit Murphy's Law and have a lot of maintenance issues.

Don't rule out the Owyhee if you want the location and have stayed in older hotels without complaint.

I love history and I love the location of this hotel.

That said, my room was spacious, clean, the bed was comfortable, and I had plenty of hot water, the hotel staff seemed very friendly and willing to assist if called upon.

The bathroom had a shower (no tub), crumbly walls, peeling paint, and a "vanity" that was a 9-inch shelf built over the toilet.

We did have a king-size bed, but the room was very noisy.

The beds are really hard and have only three tiny pillows for the big king-sized bed.

The clincher was the dirty bathroom, including the toilet seat and various hairs all over the bath and floor.

I didn't have a car so it was nice to be able to walk to shopping and restaurants.

The food at the restaurants was of good quality, but the service was abysmal and prices much higher than a Shari's just a couple of miles away!

It was right downtown in Boise and close to shopping and great restaurants.

I live in the country so I enjoy a little hoopla when in the city, Goldies was close and great for breakfast.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly, wireless internet was free.

I didn't swim but the pool was heated to a very warm temperature and looked very inviting.

The worst thing I can say about it was that the elevators were very slow.

Nice pool area that is good for events and the water wouldn't get warmer than luke warm in the morning.

Oh, and the wireless internet was very convenient.

My room was in the main hotel and was was big and clean.

The people were friendly and the room was clean.

It was clean, our room was comfortable, and the staff were helpful.

There were "dust bunnies" in the corner of our bathroom where the maid had obviously neglected to clean.
