Ottoman Hotel Imperial Istanbul - 伊斯坦布尔

The hotel has two sections, the main building is facing the Hagia Sofia Museum while the other is located on the main road to Topkapi Palace and both have fantastic location.

It has the best location in the city surrounded by all the major sights, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia museum…the list goes on, they all are located around this historic hotel.

It is situated in an excellent location in the fabulous old town.

We had a free taxi transfer from Ataturk airport because we stayed 3 nights.

A Taxi from the airport cost under 30 lire about 15euro and took25minutes late at night.

The king size bed was two singles pushed together and the bathroom didn't have a proper bath tub - rather a funny small tub with an inbuilt seat.

My room was a triple junior suite, the size of the room was fine, but the sitting room was quite small, there was a big size tub in the bathroom and the balcony was a great bonus.

Our room (Premium Sultan suite) overlooking the cathedral was comfortable and beautiful with separate bedroom and restroom, and large bathroom with upgraded toiletries.

Except for the Turkish style decoration, comfortable beds, air-con and some facilities (fridge, room safe, tv etc) there is nothing special in the rooms.

Our room was on the smaller side and had several lovely touches such as complimentary bathrobes and slippers and while the bathroom was near the entry, the bedroom was several steps down a winding small staircase.

Food at the hotel is great, there are two restaurants and a bar in the garden, worth to try the ottoman cuisine.

Bar, restaurant, breakfast room, reception, housekeeping, they are very polite.

The hotel offers a great breakfast spread and has a small bar, receiving area, restaurant and a nice courtyard with trees and plants around.

The cuisine of the restaurant is unique (food is really delicious).

So do the front office manager and the reception staff.

The concierge service was excellent, the room was very clean.

The service was excellent, the staff was so polite and friendly I could even not imagine (the bellboy accompanied me to the grocery without accepting a single tip).

The small bar beside the lobby is a nice place to chill out with friends while the green garden is a fabulous place to relax.

The lobby area is not so big but the terrace is a great place to relax after a tiring day – yes, Istanbul is a tiring city especially when you cross Bopshorus or visit the Princes islands.

My daughter fell in love with the lobby wall hanging and next thing you know, the general manager arranged for us to get our own kaftan made.

In addition friendly competent staff and nice clean room.

Friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are very clean, breakfast is great.

The room was small but very comfortable, pleasantly furnished and in good taste, impeccably clean.
