        Excellent location and in a beautiful hilly setting. Additionally a great characterful building and pleasant interior. The staff were lovely, the bed linen was spotless and the breakfast was really nice as well. The food was particularly enjoyable at dinner.

        Good location for sightseeing in Northumberland national parks, lovely walks from the hotel itself and is an interesting building in its own right. Staff are friendly.

        Beautiful location and the hotel is set a long way back from the main road so there is no traffic noise. Staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant.

        The evening meal was excellent - the best meal I have had in an English hotel - fresh local produce, staff were friendly and helpful, the room was well appointed and comfortable. Food was good.

        Our overnight stay from start to finish could not have been better, the windows overlooked the lovely front garden.

        In house video of hotel facilities was excellent, all the staff were friendly and the room we were given [ 14 ] was delightful. Food was fantastic.

        Staff were polite and friendly, the room was a little outdated. The evening meal we took in the Stable Bar restaurant was absolutely excellent & beautifully presented.

        Staff very helpful and friendly, comfy bed. The gorgeous breakfasts and well prepared local. Tranquil garden.

        The location of our room was near marquee and noisy, just minor niggles - the ceiling paper in our bedroom was splitting in the odd place - ceiling could do.
