Orange Hill Beach Inn Nassau - 拿骚

The location is excellent - close to the airport and all amenities (restaurants, groceries etc.

It is not an upscale resort and does not purport to be, but the pool was refreshing, the socializing pleasant, the room comfortable and the location convenient.

But if you want a wonderful location, friendliness, and good food -- all of this at a reasonable price -- then it may well be for you.

I found that the taxis were a rip off (a $10 trip just to go around the corner to the airport) and the buses were unreliable.

It is a quick taxi ride -- or an easy and cheap bus ride -- away from the airport and downtown core.

The room had a full-size bed, a/c, a full bath and some soaps, towels, tissues and TP, but no hair dryer.

The rooms are "modest" with some minor cosmetic blemishes but my room (D3) faced the ocean and I had everything I needed: TV, phone, kitchenette, Air con (never used because of the wonderul breeze), terrace, ok size bathroom.

Only problems in the room were a very creaky bed and there was a clear window *in* the shower that looked right out onto the walkway outside our door and the entire rest of the pool area.

It was small but cosy, a single studio-style room for sleeping and eating, with a spacious and modern bathroom, as well as a small balcony.

We had no issues with the cleanliness of the room (although they need to sweep under the bed as little more frequently).

We loved the honor bar (try the rum punch) and enjoyed breakfast and lunch in the dining room.

We ate all of our breakfasts and 1 dinner in their restaurant.

Food was decent, however the restaurant hours, especially lunch, didn't bode well for divers, so most of the time we had to eat where we dove.

The next day we went with “Rick the Bartender” to the local grocery store where we discovered why restaurant meals are pricey, food is pricey also.

Had one meal in their little restaurant, found the food native to Bahamas, "homecooked" but nice.

Staff: Good service is an absolute must for me, and everyone at Orange Hill met and then surpassed my needs.

We were amazed with the service, staff and atmosphere that you get for the price!

I didnt use the pool myself but a lot of the other guests did.

The small pool area is ok for the kids but I NEVER swam in the pool I went to the beach and swam in the ocean.

The pool is small and is downwind of some sort of processing plant.

Wireless Wi-fi, small kitchenette, Tv, balcony, dining hall, pool, and nice beach).

Wireless access restricted to hotels PC's - $5 per 1/2 hour - cheaper in town.

The rooms are simple and clean, the staff is very helpful, and the beach across the street, although not as pretty as some of the big resorts on CB, had excellent snorkeling at 3 different reefs.

The rooms were clean, and our A/C worked great which was excellent because it was HOT out all weekend!

Here's what we liked, and how we spent our time: the room was clean.

Our outbound flight didn't leave until 5pm, and the host would have arranged for a room to "use" to clean up before departure if we desired, amazing.

The owners were friendly and welcoming and the quad room allocated was basic but clean.
