Don't pay a 5-star price for this hotel or expect a 5-star facility and you should be satisfied.
Restaurant is all about the fru fru, but just a hotel restaurant with inflated prices.
Food at the hotel was good - nice portions and respectable prices.
The hotel has a lot of marble, elegant wood paneling, etc, but I've seen much nicer hotels for less money.
The Omni is a great hotel in a great location.
The location is one of the best in Houston for access to shopping, dining, major interstates and even downtown.
The location is quiet as it is in a corporate area.
The only thing to note there is a lot of construction in the area so the directions on the Omni's website from the airport are inaccurate since that exit is closed.
You can't walk anywhere(except to your car)and although the views of Memorial Park are great, You can't get anywhere from here without the long walk to the car, expensive valet, or cab.
I loved the huge bathroom and the bed was as good as the heavenly beds most hotels tout these days.
My room was nice - somewhat dated, though comfortable and offered a very nice bed.
The bathroom was particularly nice, although the bath towels were inconvenient, and a bowed shower curtain rod would have been nicer than the traditional straight one.
The bed was comfortable and the bedding quite nice.
More than enough pillows on the bed, and for once, a thermostat that was amenable to doing my bidding!
When we left, we wanted to grab breakfast and the concierge promptly printed out a map to a great local breakfast restaurant that was fantastic.

Breakfast in the morning at Omni restaurant was a fiasco.
The restaurant staff had to walk into this bar out to the lobby and out to the restaurant to serve cocktails.
Breakfast at the restaurant was overpriced and service slow.
The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean, the room service for food was with quality.
From the friendly doorman to the highly efficient front desk agent to the sincere "enjoy your day" when we checked out, the hotel staff is a class act.
The service staff was polite and the facilities were great for a conference.
All of the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, housekeeping was reliable, and there is an excellent swimming pool.
Beautiful pool area and lobby - if you like elegance, this one has it.
And the walk to the lobby is far as stated in other reviews; you must drag your luggage through pool area, very, strange.
The desk area was good with adequate plugs although it took two telephone calls to the internet help line to get the wireless working.
I stayed in room 1114 the room was average size and very clean.
The room decor was comfortable and very clean and quiet.
Our stay was wonderful; room clean and modern; staff friendly and helpful.

It's worth noting that they have great kid suites. Then the adults are in the adjoining room, enjoying some peace and quiet. And the room-service breakfasts were pretty fantastic too.
