• This hotel has the worst service of any I've stayed in.

  The hotel is attached to the CNN Center so has alot of activities, yet is quiet in the room portion of the hotel.

  Check in was very efficient and the room fit the preferences I gave to the Omni frequent traveler program (which is easy to join and comes with some real advantages, such as free Internet). Well equipped room on a high floor with great view, excellent bed, good mints with turndown service. The concierge was helpful with directions and reservations.

  The portable phone handset was broken, but an engineer came and replaced it quickly.

  While the location was perfect for what we needed it for (weigh ins and early morning report to wrestle), there were some drawbacks as well. I got a good price by going directly through the hotel and telling them rates I had found online. They left our bags in the middle of the lobby, which I didn't feel too good about with everything exposed to anyone walking by.

  We arrived there about 2:30 and our room wasn't ready. Not a big deal except we had specifically asked that we get in at that time because we were driving from South Florida with a kid cutting weight and he was miserable - we wanted to check in, let him weigh in, get a shower and go eat.

  I also used the workout room every morning that I was there and the veiw up downtown in the morning was peaceful.

  Other than that, everyone else at the hotel was very friendly. I had regular room in the north (newer) tower. Omni has excellent quality, and this room shouldn't disappoint. The Omni has a great (and free) gym on-site that rivals some normal gyms and is one of the best hotel gyms I have ever seen. It departs from the airport and drops you off one block from the Omni.

  My only complaint was that I received a cold reception upon check-in.

  Guess what no clean rooms so they took our cell # and never called. If the omni wern't so close and convenient in location and parking this hotel would never make it.

  We arrived at 2:00 - the conference was scheduled to begin at 3:00, running late due to traffic from an accident, we had high hopes of getting our room throwing our luggage in and bolting to the conference - No such luck! Of course our room was not ready despite internet reservations and payment so we assured them we were on-site and would be back after the conference, even offered to leave any information they might need to go ahead and just issue us our rooms and they denied the need for anything further from our group stating our rooms would be ready when we returned. Finally they issued our rooms and two of the rooms had been double booked - one of our groups walked into a room that had a party in it already and another of our groups shortly after getting settled had some people walk in on them. After returning to the desk for yet another room without current guests occupying it. They had no rooms and therefore had to put them in what I would call a closet - a very small 1 double bed corner room. Thankfully that room only had 3 people where the others had 4. 50 water bottles and other charge items found in the room remained untouched upon check-out.

  We booked the hotel directly through the hotel, the day of the reservation. 1: When we arrived at the hotel, their was about 6 people in line and only one front desk person. 2: When we finally got the the front desk, they couldn't find our room reservation. And the Executive Rooms were Sold Out for that evening. After 15 more minutes and phoning the manager, they finally found us a room. 3: After gettting our keys, the front desk person asked us what time we'd like "turn down".

  While the hotel layout can be confusing, there's always someone on the staff in the area who smiles, talks to you, and is willing to point you in the right direction until you get your bearings. The decor was very attractive, the service couldn't have been better, and we had a wonderful view of the Atlanta skyline.

  This hotel is easily accessible (about a block) from the CNN Center MARTA station. The room was very nice, pretty much like the pictures in the website. The bathroom was very roomy with a mirror big enough for 2 people at the same time. Sign up for the Omni preferred traveller club at their website and you'll get free juice or your choice of beverage (my husband got diet cokes) and newspaper each morning delivered to your room free at whatever time you tell them to.

  Lots of towels and hot water though water pressure was a bit lower than I'm used to. The maid must've broken one of the glasses in the bathroom because we came back one day to find some small pieces of glass on the floor. The phone had apparently been left off the hook by the previous occupant because it needed to be charged the first night (portable) but there are 2 phones in the room, so no big deal.
