Omni Cancun Hotel & Villas

The resort was situated in a convenient location, just minutes away from night clubs and shopping which were only a 65 cent bus ride away.

Of course in addition to the friendly people, we've factored in the warm weather, location on the beach, and the food in deciding to return soon.

We opted for the "all inclusive" plan and suggest that it may be the only way to go at this location.

The hotel was easy to get to via taxi from the airport.

I was charged 40 bucks to get to the hotel from the airport with their shuttle,when I already paid in advance(by the way a cab will charge you 18 bucks for the same fare.

The room was a good size with a king size bed, which was very comfy, a balcony that overlooked the lagoon, tv, ac, shower with tub, nice bathroom area with alot of nice touches such as toiletries, makeup mirror, blow drier etc.

On the 2nd floor their was a master bedroom with king size bed and full bath and a 2nd bedroom with 2 fullsize beds and a full bath.

We had 6 people in our group and were expecting a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom suite with 1 king bed, 2 queens, and 1 pull out sofa.

They offered to switch us to a King bed room the next day, but once we were there, the 2 beds were fine, we could lay on different beds if we wanted.

Plus they have the jacuzzi bar and breakfast/lunch restaurant on the beach.

Pina was a bar and restaurant which served breakfast and lunch.

The beach is absolutley beautiful, complete with the only beachfront Jacuzzi bar in Cancun and a beachfront open-air restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast/lunch with your toes in the sand!

We ate once for breakfast and once for lunch at the beach restaurant.

We never had a problem getting a spot, as we were down eating breakfast at the beach restaurant around 8:00 a.

Needless to say, the front desk staff could use some customer service training if they put guests on floors below construction when there are a significant number of empty rooms in the hotel.

The staff is exceptional as well as the maid service.

All of the staff (doormen, concierge, cashier, bar staff, wait staff, pool staff, maids, etc) are so friendly and will bend over backwards to get you what you desire.

Spa/Gym: The Omni has a full service spa with all the usual treats - the massages are wonderful.

Also the spa, which is attached to the gym offers some great services.

It was great to be able to use the laptop in the lobby bar and by the pool.

It's true, that you can avoid the rocks if you look carefully but forget about a high-speed run into the surf or your feet could get cut.

The showers were nice and hot and rooms were clean and fresh.

The rooms were clean, comfortably furnished but not luxurious.

The hotel is attractive with a pleasant lobby, lovely restaurants, and clean, attractive rooms.

It was a room IMO – nothing special – but clean.
