  The spectacular view point at symonds yat rock only a short distance away and like the style of the hotel very good food. The reception is small and welcoming, a lovely garden to enjoy a drink.

  In a great location to explore Wye Valley, the most welcoming hotel I have ever known and the staff are a credit to them well done. Good food - excellent balance between formal dining.

  The location was perfect for touring the Wye Valley & Forest of Dean, made our stay very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, bar food was good value for money and the facilities were excellent.

  The location was perfect for countryside/riverside walks in beautifull surroundings, the hotel staff were so friendly throughout the stay and the service was good. The room was adequate, breakfast was great.

  Location was excellent, as other adjoining suites were vacant during our stay was very peaceful and quiet, the staff were incredibly helpful & very friendly. Our room was clean and the evening meal was good value for money.

  Location was excellent for the Wye valley, room was quirky & fun as hotel was very old and the staff were friendly. The bathroom was spotless, breakfast the following morning was delicious and the menu for both was good.

  The scenery around the area was beautiful and the hotel was excellent please see next box. The staff were most helpful and the room was clean and smart. Bar food was good.

  Lovely surroundings and good welcome at this family owned. The service attentive, comfortable rooms and the bar/wait staff went out of their way to be helpful. The food was excellent.

  Including a quiet easily accessible location and friendly and also you felt like you were in a luxury hotel for a bargain price. The staff were fabulous, the bed was comfy and great choice of food from the bar was delicious & good value.
