Ocean Villa Inn

The location next to the Dog Beach was perfect!

As a side note, if you don't care about being close to the the dog beach, I also really like the Best Western Lamplighter on El Cajon - location isn't great but the staff is awesome and the price is a little lower.

The location is good and ocean Beach is an interesting neighborhood.

The only drawback is that it's under the flight path, so sometimes the planes are pretty loud, but the San Diego airport is right in the middle of town, so you hear them most places.

The inn is located under the airport path, so planes start leaving around 6 a.

The 2nd bed was supposed to be in a separate room, it wasn't.

We took a Family Suite downstairs patio room - which I highly recommend.

The accomodations were perfect, large rooms, large bathrooms (but small shower).

This time, the junior suite wasn't available so we opted for a regular room (2 queens).

Room was large and clean, bathroom very nice, great view and a nice kitchen.

7-9am breakfast bar since i wake early - it's great that soy milk is offered!

There are wonderful restaurants close by to have a nice dinner or quick lunch, fun places to shop at, and the atmosphere surrounding the whole place is very relaxed and laid back.

There are a ton of little shops and local restaurants within a short walking distance.

Nearby restaurants have moderate pricing and excellent food.

Their continental breakfast has a lot to be desired.

We still had a balcony facing the water, and the front desk staff (different employees this time) were just as friendly as the last time.

We tried to speak to the manager and he or she (we could never find out) was never kind enough to see us, even though we were told the manager was in the office (We found out the managers office was directly behind the front desk).

No interruptions by maid service or anyone else for that matter.

Additionally ocean villa inn is the perfect place for dog lovers of all kinds and the staff is super friendly.

It has a nice pool, beautiful cactus garden, and palm trees galore.

Parking did not seem to be a problem (however, we were there during the week).

We did not have to drive anywhere (maybe one of the reasons we did not have a parking problem:)).

The staff was really great, the room was clean and comfortable.

Room was large and clean, the breakfast was fine to start the day off, the facility was nice and comfortable.

The floors are tiled in these rooms for easy accident clean up - smart thinking!
