Ocean Forest Villas

On the plus side the location was good because it was close to everything and easy to get around.

Good location in residential neighborhood, but close to both Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach at 56th Ave.

What is consistent is the excellent location, the on-site pools and jacuzzi's, the attractive landscaping and grounds, and the peaceful, non-commercial atmosphere of the property and the immediate surrounding area.

This is a great location because its in a residential area and it's more of a family location.

For the price it was just okay and I would suggest checking the sister location "The Sands" for a villa.

The room had two bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms (one with a tub and shower, one with just a shower), and a full kitchen.

For very little more than a decent quality hotel room, we had two bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, a living room, and a small deck overlooking the pool and facing the ocean.

Our room at the Ocean Forest Villas, where every room is a 2 BR, 2 Bath suite, was a great deal from Smith Rentals.

The bathroom off of the master bedroom was okay, bad water temp.

There are sliding glass doors to the balcony from the living room and from the master bedroom.

The Hotel is centrally located, just 4 miles to the Pavilion or to Restaurant Row.

We got a family package which included breakfast at the Ocean Plaza next door.

We were able to eat a few simple meals in, which saved us a few bucks and kept us away from the buffets (burp!

As mentioned - the breakfast buffett at the sister hotel - Ocean Plaza.

The front desk staff was not prepared to handle this type of situation.

Speaking of service, the staff was pleasant and did the best they could, but there was just no consistency.

We took it upon ourselves to make sure we were taken care of and talked to the maid service for our linens and towels every day.

Other then that they were quiet, the pool was very clean, not crowded, and good parking.

Parking your machine 'down the street' may be a small issue to hotel management but it is a huge concern to bike owners!

The indoor pool was also very nice with a breathtaking view of the ocean.

We had a laptop but didn't bring the network cable to hook up to the dial-up connection in the condo (assumed it would be high speed).

The room was very clean and updated and the view was the best I have seen, We paid right around 100 a night.
