I liked the location - right next door to the Parker.
It was a great location just outside of town near the water park, miniature golf and restaurants all within a short drive.
The unit was relatively modern, the kitchen well-provisioned, the wall bed in the living room perfect for the "extra child" and each bedroom had its own full bath.
The units come in studio, 1-BR and 2-BR formats – we had a basic two-bedroom, and it included a full kitchen, breakfast area, dining room, living room, outdoor terrace, two full baths plus powder room, and a detached one car garage.
Space- We got a 2 br, which was basically a huge apartment with a murphy bed, so it slept 6 (+1 on the couch).
The extra bed in the units we stayed in both times are Murphy beds--not pull-outs, etc.
Our room was clean, kitchen was well equiped and the kids loved the murphy bed (the parents loved the king size bed).
Unfortunately there is no restaurant or bar on the site, but they do have pancake breakfasts, ice cream sundaes and burgers on different days.
Even though we already ate in our unit, the kids insisted on doing it again when they saw the all-you-can-eat pancake/sausage/OJ breakfast ($5) at the main pool.
We ate at Sherman's deli several times and enjoyed all our meals.
The staff was very helpful to us with our special requests and gave us good advice for local restaurants.
We ate at the French Bistro on El Paseo and loved the food there as well.
I thought the front desk staff top to bottom was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
You don't get maid service if you stay less than 8 days, but we were ok cleaning up after ourselves for a week.
The front desk greeters, Shirley and Jose became our friends.
The resort had a check-in building with a small fitness center, living room-like space and offices, with the main pool area out the back door.
If you’re looking for a full service hotel with a bellman, room service, daily housekeeping, fine dining and a spa, this isn’t it.
Having several pools to choose from all over the property was also nice, although our closest pool was quiet and very nice, so we didn't have to travel far.
Wireless internet is available through a box for $5 a day which i thought was a bit cheeky given the place is quite expensive.
Furnishings in rooms are a bit tired but the villas are spacious and very clean.
