Oaks Shores Apartment Queenstown - 女皇镇

Great location, roominess of the apartment the high quality of service and excellent accommodation perfectly situated for a holidays in queenstown.

Our recent stay at this location was brilliant.

Firstly, we managed to get the apartment at a VERY good rate from one of the last minute websites and were so pleased to stay in such a wonderful location for such a great price!

It costs $5 to the airport, as opposed to about $25 for a taxi.

As an example of the service: I asked about a bus to the airport and was told by different people that 1) there was none (wrong), 2) that it wouldn't stop by the hotel (wrong), 3) that it runs on the hour every half hour (wrong).

This complex is made up of privately owned 3 bed apartments, one of the bedrooms being a studio unit with its own separate entrance that can be let separately.

We called the front desk immediately and was expecting them to move us to another 2bedroom apartment but to our pleasant surprise, they opened the connecting door to the studio room next to our apartment so we could use the other bathroom.

Beautiful apartment, we stayed in a 1 bedroom deluxe room for a long weekend, huge space, good furnishings and comfy bed.

The master bedroom had a King size bed, but other than a tiny closet that didn’t fit the hangers provided there was no other storage, this didn’t bother us too much as we used the second bed room for our suitcases.

As we had only booked a hotel room and realised that these are the 2nd bedrooms for the 2-bedroom apartments, we weren't sure if we would get much of a view.

The restaurant and bar had great views, however the food was very ordinary.

The restaurant for breakfast was decent, but we either ate in our room or went out to enjoy Queenstown, so we can't say about dinner.

The hotel room did come equipped with a toaster however we chose to have the full buffet breakfast in the restaurant for $14.

We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was good (make a reservation the night before and you get the hot and continental for only the price of the hot).

It’s a good deal versus going some where else in town for breakfast – you’ll pay more and get less at local restaurants.

On the second day I phoned reception to ask for more washing powder as it hadn't been refilled in our service, and copped an earful about how we hadn't even paid for a service.

Reception Staff were helpful and the room was clean and tidy.

We found the staff on reception were always helpful.

One of the best places I have ever stayed at, staff at front desk very helpful in familiarising us and i especially liked the large window seat.

They helped book a shuttle to the ski lift and brought us extra blankets when we requested them (heating proved to be complicated because we only had the fireplace and the radiant heating for the bedrooms didn’t come on until 11 pm).

When we walked in (after parking our car in the free car park underneath) the first thing we stated was "wow".

The only problem we had was with housekeeping, we had booked to have it serviced and paid an extra $20 something a night.

The room was spotless and housekeeping offered on a number of occasions to clean our room if we desired.

Otherwise the room was pretty clean and tidy.

I had no problem with doing my own dishes (i dont know why people give this hotel bad reviews because they do not regulary clean, it is not a hotel, but apartments) and it was nice doing the laundrey.

Nothing spectacular but clean, spacious rooms and a fresh design.

The view was lovely, the room was modern and clean.
