Oaks Lexicon Apartment Hotel Brisbane - 布里斯班

The location was very good since it was close to my sister's apartment so we could walk less than 5 mins to her place and it was about 5 mins walk to central station and 10 mins to Queen street mall.

The Oaks Lexicon Apartment Hotel is in a fantastic location to discover Brisbane and The Valley.

The location is fantastic, within walking distance to the Brisvegas CBD and the pool was utilised reguarly.

Taxi is approximately $35-$40 from the airport.

The location is central and approx 5mins walk from the main railway station which is great if you are taking the train in from the airport.

The apartment was very well fitted out with a king bed in one room and twin beds in the other.

We too were upgraded from a 1-bed apartment to a 2-bed apartment so we had a bathroom each which was nice!

The room also had a decent sized bedroom (which also had a balcony and double sliding doors), and a bathroom, although no bath.

I had booked a one bed apartment but upgraded to a two bed at no extra cost!

We had 3 balconies in our 2 bed, 2 bathroomed apartment, all kitted out with modern appliances and everything you would need for a 2 week stay.

Location was good, about 5 minutes from Queens Street and also convenient walk to Eagle Street Pier where there are some lovely (albeit quite expensive) restaurants - had a lovely meal at Il Centro and Pier Nine.

There are good restaurants within a short walk, and a well stocked supermarket also.

Only a short walk to the river and early morning breakfast at one of the many breakfast spots.

We liked (but didn't sample) the extensive list of restaurants that would deliver to your door.

We had to refuse as we had way too much stuff to pack up and move for one more nights stay as well as a full fridge and pantry of food that we had bought for our stay.

We spent almost a week in these apartments during the early part of January - they are eexcellent - everything you could possibly need is there, the reception staff even the cleaners are friendly and more than helpful.

Saying that, the front desk staff at the Oaks were helpful and informative when approached and there was an information pack in the room so personal preference really.

The reception staff were very helpful and had a great local knowledge.

The block also has a nice enough pool area on the 4th floor, which is partially exposed to the outside, a gym (which isn't too great), and parking in the basement floors for $11 per night surcharge.

Two minor sore points: 1) the hotel was packed full on the days I was there and there are only two lifts servicing the whole building, so at times it took over 10 minutes to get hold of a lift.

Shared facilities are pretty poor - take the gym and pool area, which desperately need refurbishing.

Wired internet access is also available at extra cost (cost varies depending on how much time you buy, 24 hours is $25, but you can get cheaper rates for longer durations).

The room was clean and spacious and was very modern with all the things you would need for a longer stay.

There were two bathrooms which were spotlessly clean.

Our clean room was on the 13th floor, and offered a great open plan living area / kitchen (with gas hob), with sliding double doors onto a spacious outside patio area.

However the rooms were clean and relatively modern.

2 bedroomed unit was not clean, carpets dirty, both toilets dirtybath had to be cleaned before we could wash children in it, lamps not working.
