Oaklands Hotel & Restaurant Norwich - 诺里奇

The hotel is in a great location, we took many walks along the river and around the local area.

The hotel is in a perfect location for walking to the local pubs and for early morning strolls to feed the ducks!

Nice location, the quality was good to and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

The main thing why I stay here is both location (I work on contract for NU just 5 mins down the road) and the staff who really work hard to help you.

The hotel was well located for Norwich City Centre, probably about 3 miles away and was easily reached by car or bus, which stopped right outside.

The people who sleep on the sofa bed have to walk through the bedroom to get to the toilet/bathroom, so no privacy.

We found the double room we stayed in was two beds pushed together anyway, the bathroom floor was dirty and the room seemed to be made out for one as there was only one towel and shampoo, we could not watch the tv as the reception was so bad.

Moreover welcoming staff, comfortable bed.

We went to bed shortly just before 1 o’clock and we not disturbed at all – and we are a couple in our 50’s.

Doesn't it occur to hotel managers that people might be on holiday and may want to get out of bed late?

Furthermore the helpful staff, nice room and lovely restaurant/bar.

The bar and restaurant had a warm and welcoming feel and the baby gherkins on the bar tables was a lovely touch.

We entered the restaurant to be greeted by a distracted, unwelcoming headwaiter who told us to take a seat in the bar.

After reading some of the reviews here I was worried about the restaurant however although not modern it is not dated and on the night we ate the food was excellent.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to take mum and dad out for a pleasant carvery meal but not to couples looking for an intimate dining experience.

When we were seen we asked could we leave our bags behind reception as the room wasnt ready,the receptionist told us that would be fine,and would we like tea or coffee while we waited,and added that the room should have been ready on arrival.

I went to reception and after swiping the card in a machine and pressing some buttons, the receptionist handed it back saying, 'there you go'.

We found the reception staff to be uncaring and unsympathetic with no apologies.

Staff were friendly, food was good and car parking was free!

The outdoor pool was out of order, a shame as it was so hot.

You can also walk to the city in about 40 mins) The grounds of the hotel were lovely but do to the harsh winter weather we did not appreciate them or the outdoor pool to the full.

They only problem was that the wireless connection was not working however they promised it would be ready soon.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Very helpful staff, room clean and very good value food.

The room was clean and offered all mod cons to make it a memorable night in norfolk.
